Now I'm really confused as I replied to a post from Peggy about spam on twitter and its gone.

Does Chris Webb really believe he is being threatened - in which case he will go to the police - or is he just using something as an excuse to tarnish others.

Personally, I am getting sick of the inneuendo from Newell and Webb. If they have gripes, give specific names (and open yourself to libel) or just shut the feck up!

Spooner. I'll be quite clear with you, you seem quite uiet, fairly respectful and polite like most posters. At the time of Sting Curtain, I asked you why you had the same email address as another poster ... i didn't get a reply..

Now, you've suddenly woken up and from nowhere after months of celibacy taken a huge interest in a spat between some ex Pasoti posters that joined ATD two days ago and Chris Webb and Ian Newell, who produced physical threats in writing at a meeting the next day. Now, put yopurself in our position. What would you think as a moderator should you want to stand for election here ? Why are you so keen to push the general into more statements that might well be unadvisable ?

Umm what am i being accused of here? Who is sting curtain? and, i dont think you have ever asked me about my email address, if you have i apologise but maybe you can point me in the direction of your question?

I'll be honest with you penzancepirate i'm not quite sure what you are getting at here and at no point have i asked Rastus {let alone pushed him} in to making statements. In fact i think i was quite clear to that point in this very thread. He was the one who jumped in and as far as i can see didn't make the threats that i'm aware of, although he certainly has made a threat this evening that i'm surprised is still on these boards.

I hope you do contact the police and that they take it seriously {i doubt they will} as i'm sure they will be interested in the fact you are allowing it to stay on the site.

well, I mean, you would have expected Webb to have contacted the police by now following such a potential life threatening threat. Maybe he called the Sweeny and not the locals though, time will tell I guess

There seems to be some confusion that Newell tweeted racist comments. He didn't he tweeted that General_Rastus was a racist - didn't back it up though.

It does seem odd that Peggy and Newell don't get on, and a recently joined poster (not Spooner) seems determined in undermining her (especially mentioning her time as pasoti mod).

We also have another new poster intent on attacking the non-argyle fans (our camaraderie with our rival fans sets us apart from another website). Downy has undergine attacks, and despite being an exeter fan ( ), is a decent poster. Sturtz and Merse have also been targetted.

I dont know Gob, i was yapping with him and he was fine then. I don't know how he feels now, i don't know him other than saying well done for what he did for our club. How do you now he isn't so relaxed now? You know more than me, i do hope though that if he is now concerned about it that they catch the idiot.

I'm not sure that this should be discussed if there's a possibility of some sort of investigation.

I am aware though that these threats are taken extremely seriously by the police following a few terrible incidents in the past, hopefully they will get to the bottom of it.

I'm getting paranoid with all these accusations flying about. Not guilty of being anyone of note and being a fairly new poster at the behest of greenjock who told me about this site on not606 recently. Thought I might just post a defence in case my name came up being new is all..............defence rests.

Sensible, nothing to do with you obviously. It will sort itself out in a day or two. But sadly we have had to go against our banning procedure and suspend General Rastus and Dane for certain things over the last week or two while we discuss it over the next few days.
We have few rules, and certainly don't have any side one way or the other regarding views on Argyle. But there are certain abuses that go too far for an internet forum. This particular problem is a Twitter problem with users of Pasoti and ex users and that is where the problem lays.

To echo Pirate, this seems like a personal issue between one or two users of Twitter and Newell and Webb that for a change, doesn't involve ATD.

I think I'll give this twitter thing a miss, it's full of twits!
