I have never liked Twitter, don't use it, and it doesn't surprise me people are upset by it.
It was invented for the mobile phone in reality, it's bound to have a different culture than group forums.

Unfortunately Twitter is uncontrollable, there are no rules and people can and do say what they like. Threatening violence is disagreeable, foreshore, but it amuses me that they are surprised by the reactions on there.

Most celebs realise that crackpot abuse is part and parcel of the shit they signed up to. But for them it's a career, this isnt Webbs day job, He's been used and once the GAS is in place he'll have no use whatsoever, unless he and Noolin stand but I'd think people have had enough of the two.

Unfortunate, but I think you're right on the first point - the crackpot abuse thing has to expected anywhere and everywhere now.. From road rage to even people indignant at others for having a cigerette! To calling complete strangers vile, cowardly, scum!

However on the second point...

I think Webb and Newell would win in a land slide.

I have little doubt that both will run.

Unless for Webby the perks of being El Prez are better?

I hope they don't stand. I think both of them have done a lot for the club but neither of them listen to others opinions and they won't like answering to the fans they "represent".

I'm sure it's already been reported to the Police then, and when the culprit is found, Chris won't mind posting on Pasoti how it wasn't anyone connected with ATD, because that is obviously someone with far more of a grudge against Chris and Lee? than a disgruntled ex Pasoti member who has been banned. But as I said originally on the subject, it serves a purpose for Chris to hang it in the air on Pasoti to give the impression that it has come from someone on here. The whole post has already been linked on this thread, and the threats part come just after the touching story of the guy who actually cried when the beautiful FV 1886 flag was unfurled.

I'm not, but I don't think anyone would threaten him with being stabbed over Pasoti, but then maybe he pisses people off in his day job then and it was them. Who knows? And if he's not that bothered, why show you and post about it on Pasoti? Like I said before it was posted along with Ian Newells twitter comments about freaks and cowards on ATD, so it looks to his sheep as though it has come from here, and serves a purpose eh?

Coincidental but interesting.

It is, I am sure, purely coincidental that Rastus signed up and started to post frequently on ATD within hours of allegedly making threats on Twitter. But it's interesting that once again, ATD is used to fight Newell's and Webb's squabbles.

If the poster concerned did send a threat then he deserves to be hung by his balls, but if he didn't it's going to end up looking like the same old "cry wolf" thing from Webby and newell once again.

Maybe the mods on ATD should consider contacting the police over this?

I'm all for that Gob. Something smells about this whole thing. The timing certainly is strange. New posters arriving on Friday, physical threats received and all typed up on Saturday morning for all to see. I smell a rat. What do other moderators think ?
This could be a total set up of this website. The police are the best people to deal with this. If there are threats, then it should be dealt with, if there are false accusations made, they should be dealt with.

You have nothing to fear then Rastus. I remain with the view that the police be informed considering the many pm's, emails and phone calls being made involving this site.

This will also prevent those wishing to tar this site from being able to do so and, if this is just another of Newell's and Webb's attempted smear campaigns it will bite them in the arse massively!
