“PLYMOUTH Argyle Football Club have parted company with manager Carl Fletcher.

“The team’s recent results have not been good enough and, with the club’s Football League future paramount, the Argyle Board felt that a change was necessary now as we head into an important part of the season.

“The owner and the Board would like to thank Carl for all he has done for the club, as a player and a manager.

“Carl helped keep us in the Football League last season and we will never forget that huge contribution he made to Argyle’s history.

“He leaves with our best wishes for his future career and will always be welcome at Home Park.

“The Board will now seek promptly to appoint a new manager with significant experience of football management.

“The club will be making no further immediate comment to this announcement.”

Looks as if this is true.Relieved but i won't be getting too excited until the name of the new manager is announced and some indication is given that he has some resources to work with to get us out of this shit and making some progress again.Nothing personal against Carl Fletcher and i wish him all the best in the future,he just wasn't up to the job of rebuilding Plymouth Argyle.

Next man in has a hell of a job on his hands lets hope it's not to late although I fear it is.

So, if this is right then who will be the next manager? - He has to be as cheap as Fletcher so that rules out pretty much all other league managers so on that basis I predict that Wotton will be sitting in the managers chair next week. Great eh!
