I agree. A good old fashion lethal pandemic is needed. Humans are the modern day equivalent of locusts - growing massively in numbers and stripping the earth of it's natural resources at a non-sustainable rate, and yet, from the worlds leaders, there's seems to be be feck-all will to do anything about it, although some do make a 'token' gesture which in reality means feck-all. I wonder if the human race will wake up when we're at the precipice? Sadly, I doubt it. There's only one this shit is heading, and it ain't good.

Well, the boffins do say a flu pandemic is over due. I am not that alarmed yet, though should it spread like wild fire over the coming days, weeks and months, I will stock up on the lemsip and soup.

What the ANC implemented under Zuma was technically apartheid in some context. Hazard that non black Africans are not evicted, moved and their land and homes expropriated like indigenous Palestinians are, but nevertheless a system that effectively quotas companies to how many non black Africans they can employ and how many social housing units a municipality can give to non black Africans still is a form of apartheid in my opinion. As is the quota system in cricket and rugby, incidentally I wonder why the quota system hasn't been implemented in SA football.
I hear from a lot of naive people who clearly know nothing about the political situation that they believe these policies are justified as they reflect the demographics of the country as a whole. Problem is city's like Pretoria which is about 65% white and the Cape Town which is about 85% dominated by whites and Cape coloureds will face serious problems with these policies, hence why mass scale white squatter camps have sprung up across Gauteng Province and absolutely huge informal settlements of Cape Coloureds the size of cities exist on the Cape Flats to the East of Cape Town.
