| A mildly amusing experience at the jet wash doing the car this morning.
I must remember next time, that the lance/wand thingy (call it what you will) has no trigger on it. As soon as you put your money in and press the button, high pressure hot and and soapy water starts straight away.
It was still in it's little stowage thingy and shot out like a Harpoon missile.
The mild amusement came from trying to catch the little blighter whilst getting soaked. |

| In agony again. Already had my quota of painkillers for the day due to being up with the baby most of the night. Out of cider but already have my eye on the bottle of wine she put in the fridge last night. Needs must |

| Today I shall brave Kilimanjaro, ford the mighty Amazon, trek the wastes of Antarctica, cross the Rub' al-Kahli and after a light lunch I shall settle down with a newspaper. |

| Lots of work done. Next week's programme piece written. All that's left is to do a roast and watch Sherlock. Plenty of time for a nap, then |

| Another excellent episode of Sherlock last night - even quite upsetting towards the end. And the actor playing Moriarty was brilliant - reminded me of Ben Kingsley's part in Sexy Beast: totally evil, totally out of control, yet also totally in control.
Need to go to the Co-op to get milk and bananas today.
Also going to the readers' group at the library with my mum. Could be fun, since neither of us finished the (rather unpleasant) book we're meant to have read. |

It was a riveting episode - and, I see this morning, a third series to come. A very good day for golf today, however I shall be spending the afternoon putting up a new cooker hood. Now that, I would submit, M'lud, is as mundane as it gets. |

Now that, I would submit, M'lud, is as mundane as it gets. Indeed. It's up there with washing net curtains and buying milk. Well done. I bow before your mundanity |

| Went to the readers' group. As I hadn't read the book, my mum wrote a note for me. And as she hadn't read the book either, I dropped her in it.
Didn't really matter, anyway. |

| It's about three weeks since I used the carwash at the Lee Mill Tesco. It didn't do a very good job so don't blame me if you use it and it's rubbish. |

Don't say anymore. I'll be watching it later. |

| Lucky you. It was so good, I'm quite jealous of anybody who's yet to have the pleasure of seeing it.
For my part, I shall be watching the medieval manuscripts thing on BBC4 (arty and history-y, innit), and then catching Coppers on 4+1. |

Nothing to report here today. Shall be spending the day cracking on with the planned new day job. There's no road tax. Petrol used to be 50 - 60p per litre. |
