Jabba, as always, produces cohesive arguments but as far as I (and an awful lot of my generation on here) feel, we cannot disregard our formative years. I was first taken to HP by my two great uncles who lived in Peverell Park Road. It was the beginning of the season after this one

when we were at our closest to reaching the top flight (just look at the last seven games of that season). I was assured by my great uncles, both 40 year+ supporters that although we'd never been in the top flight we soon would be  That first game we beat PNE 7-1 so I saw no reason to disbelieve them:D 

It took 5 years to drop out of the second tier and for a 10 then 15 year old that was a lifetime. So, I have never considered anything below that level as in any way acceptable and after a lifetime of disappointment I still hold that view. Fortunately in my golden years of finally acquiring a degree of wisdom it is a great comfort to me to realise, now, that I don't actually give a feck anymore.

The really sad thing is in my eyes that I dont think ol Napolean will get a thing from his liaison with the speccy one, Naps obviously has his eyes in a prize but you just know that Brent wouldn't lose a wink of sleep by ditching Porky, FES, FIL and all the bucket rattlers too. Naps is trying to squirm out of it now by re writing history but no one is having it, you,ve made your bed old boy, time to lie in it.

You might be correct but he does seem confident of maintaining his position. If the ground is 'finished' as per the plans, complete with shiny white buildings in the corners[his words not mine], old Porkie will be like the proverbial pig in poo, playing the billy big bollocks when 'bantering' with Exeter, Torquay, Boston et al. He already uses the royal 'we'.
It's an indication of his parochial mindset, mixed with the need to be someone. Sadly, it is all coming at the expense of the future of PAFC.

I've no doubt at all Brent would ditch the Pig in a heartbeat. But the Porker has metaphorically hit the jackpot in his association with nikkk. You can be damn sure nikkk will be on the scene long after Brent has departed, counting his millions of £££'s.
