Are there no depths the EU and it's apologists will sink to? trying to discrediting a vaccine which has been approved by their own Medicines Agency to cover up their piss poor performance.

At this rate of immunisation, which is averaging 345k/day and rising, all over 50's will be jabbed by early April. Not bad going.

Maybe we will have a bit of a summer after all! Maybe we will all be back at Gnome Park in August? Maybe we can all enjoy a pint down the pub with yer mheeeeets? Watch live music?

I feel a tad optimistic for the first time in a long while. Must be my trendy mento elf, init!

Maybe baby!

Shocked by this appallingly tin-eared tweet from

. People are dying of Covid all over Europe right now and - what? - we are meant to celebrate the fact that we’re vaccinating faster than them? My God 😔

Doctor Rachel not impressed with the magnificent progress made in protecting our people, where does Harve dig these people up from? Ah, I get it, she's a Labour supporting remainer...

Of course she is. Check out some of the confirmed speakers...

Only this week a Professor Kit Yates of Bath University was doing a full scale hatchet job on the Tory Party which led me to check him out. It transpires he's a member or the "Independent Sage" which lectures the general public rather than the government. This organisation is headed by a Sir David King...

It's a wonder Harve doesn't post some of Piers Corbyn's tweets that claim 5G causes Covid.

Looks like yet another fail for harve....

'Dominic Cummings won't be prosecuted over breaking lockdown laws for his 264-mile trip from London to Durham in March.

The Prime Minister's former Svengali said he made the trip to his family's farm in County Durham because he was worried about childcare for his four-year-old son in April 2020.

But he came after fire after saying that he took a separate 30 minute, 60-mile round trip from Durham to Barnard Castle to test his eyesight - despite having Covid symptoms.

Following the outcry over Mr Cummings' apparent breaches, former chief prosecutor for North West England Nazir Afzal - whose older brother Umar died with coronavirus in April - submitted a dossier of evidence to detectives in Durham and urged them to investigate.

It included location data for their vehicles from congestion charge and automatic number plate recognition cameras, CCTV from Barnard Castle and areas surrounding Houghall Woods - where he was allegedly seen - and mobile phone analysis.

But Durham Police's deputy chief constable Dave Orford today wrote to lawyers for Mr Afzal advising that they 'will be taking no further action'.

Wife got a call at lunchtime from her school admin saying that the local health centre had phoned to say that they had a load of vaccine left over from today’s surgery and to get down there pronto for a jab.

She was quite overwhelmed and great full that they thought of the school staff.

Lucky mare!

Spain joins others now....

'SPAIN has refused to approve the Oxford/AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine for use by the over-55s.

The country's health chiefs have authorised the use of the drug to inoculate people aged between 18 and 55 but followed France, Germany, Italy and Austria in imposing age restrictions amid concerns over a lack of data on it use on the elderly. Italy also recommends its preferential use for adults of 55 and under, while Germany, France, Austria and Norway will only administer the shot to people younger than 65.

Spain's decision comes just hours after UK drugs regulators received extra trial data from AstraZeneca which supports their view that the vaccine is effective in the elderly.

In an initial phase aimed at protecting care-home residents and workers and front-line medics, Spain has so far administered 1.87 million doses produced by Pfizer and Moderna.

It expects a delivery of 1.8 million AstraZeneca doses this month to speed up the pace of inoculation and help it hit a target of vaccinating 70 percent of the population by summer.'

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Obviously these countries don't give a feck about their over 65's.

If or when ( I'm not an expert when it comes to covid and can only go on what we are told by AZ and others) data comes out to prove it is good for over 65's will these countries have the balls to admit they were wrong? Of course not.

European Medicines Agency recommends COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca for authorisation in the EU

There are not yet enough results in older participants (over 55 years old) to provide a figure for how well the vaccine will work in this group. However, protection is expected, given that an immune response is seen in this age group and based on experience with other vaccines; as there is reliable information on safety in this population, EMA’s scientific experts considered that the vaccine can be used in older adults.

Why have a European Medicines Agency if European leaders are going to let old people die to cover up for their incompetence?

It's all academic as they don't have enough vaccines to innoculate everybody anyway, I'm guesssing that they are trying to look less incompetatant than they are but it's difficult with newly released Blighty forging ahead like the re invigorated powerhouse that it is.

And lost a record we have held at Twickers for 38yrs FFS! Wilko summed it up nicely when he said that there have been obvious problems with this on off team for a couple of years but then we win the six nations last year so they say if it's not broken don't fix it yet after that debacle yesterday questions must be asked and we must ring the changes, whether he was talking players, team captain or Eddie Jones I wasn't sure?

eddie jones cause why play saracens players who haven't played in months and those season hasn't even started and isnt likely too for a while yet in a game like that. RFU are not fit for purpose the best of times but giving Eddie a new contract rather than say thankyou and goodbye and usher in a new era was crazy.

Some info for josephine and the other eu anti AZ vaxxers to choke on this morning....

'Data collected on the first rollout of the Covid vaccine justifies the Government's decision to delay the second dose, according to an expert.

Professor Anthony Harnden, of the joint committee on vaccination and immunisation, says those already given the jab are experiencing high levels of protection from their first dose.

And the data, set to be published next week by Public Health England, shows infection rates in those over the age of 80 have fallen in the past month.

Professor Harnden said in the Sunday Times: 'The Covid-19 vaccine rollout in the UK is nothing short of a triumph.

'The Government's strategy to extend the interval between the two doses means we have been able to protect more people and undoubtedly save more lives.'

Last week Boris Johnson praised the NHS for its 'colossal' effort to vaccinate 10million Brits against Covid.

Saluting the achievement in a Downing Street press conference, the Prime Minister thanked everyone involved in the roll-out, from scientists to delivery drivers to pharmacists.

He said: 'And it is thanks to their effort — the most colossal in the history of our National Health Service — that we have today passed the milestone.'

With the country jabbing an average 400,000 people every day, the UK is on track to hitting its goal of giving the first vaccine dose to the 14million most vulnerable Brits by February 15.

And with cases and deaths easing and the rollout of jabs surging ahead of schedule, Boris Johnson is said to have ordered a ramping up of preparations for children to get back in classrooms from March 8.'

How many ATDers have been vaccinated to date?

I would guess 3 including Graiser tomorrow along with Zyph and Tgwu.

Anyone else?

PostSubject: Re: Chinese Virus May Have Infected Hundreds   Chinese Virus May Have Infected Hundreds - Page 28 EmptySun Feb 07, 2021 4:20 pm

'Spain's country's health chiefs have authorised the use of the drug to inoculate people aged between 18 and 55. However, they followed France, Germany, Italy and Austria in imposing age restrictions.

Now, Express.co.uk users have lashed out at the EU with one person saying history will "not judge the EU kindly" following the vaccine rollout.

Another person accused the Spanish government of putting "EU unity" before the people.

They said: "The poor people of Spain.

"This is what happens when your government puts EU unity before you.

Astra is used around the world in 50 countries.

"It is providing strong anti-bodies in all age groups, is potent against the UK strain and prevents 75 percent spreading. Good luck."

Another person added: "More Oxford jabs for us British then. No loss."

A fourth reader commented: "Another EU snub to the UK - we have our vaccines thanks - where are yours coming from Spain?

"Has Ursula told you where your vaccines are coming from? And when?

"Wave goodbye to your tourism!"

One claimed the Spanish government did not approve the vaccine as they "haven't got enough".

They said: "I was right. They haven't got enough vaccine so they are conspiring to pretend it's no good for old people so they can give it the workers and they are ignoring those retired, old and vulnerable.

"It's the only way they can hide the fact they messed up.

"The evil EU showing its true colours."

A sixth reader said: "Funny how it's EU countries 'banning' the AZ vaccine, even though EMA approves it.

"Wonder if there's anything political about these decisions."

"What a bunch of pathetic children the EU are!

"They are all ganging up on AZ to try and give themselves credibility.

"AZ should rip up the contract with the EU stating the EU breached the contract by showing it to the world. Then tell them to swing."

Spain's decision came hours after UK drugs regulators received extra trial data from AstraZeneca which supports their view the vaccine is effective in the elderly.'
