Bollocks. Cummings should have gone but that doesnt excuse anybody else from following the rules. Also don't forget that pubs were already shut for three months and since then have had their trade cut massively by restrictions and if any are shut again will probably go to the wall.
I think Bojo has been too nice hoping the population would pull together and too many people couldn't give a feck. Early doors I had an argument with the old bill who wouldn't let me buy veg seeds for my garden whilst I was in the Agri store buying stock feed. Since then I literally haven't seen one and no one else is allowed to challenge anyone without a mask. We've got two traffic Furhers back in Tavvy but still no cops. They are like GP's shirking twats.

Was in the local Tesco store yesterday and there were 3 women of West Indian stock walking round with no masks on. They were challenged by an old boy about it he was told to basically feck off so he spoke to the store manager who spoke to them and told them to leave. They weren’t happy but when threatened with banning from the shop they left.

Im a firm believer those who dont want to wear a mask due to be an arrogant prick like those 3 (im not talking about those with medical examptions) and they catch covid as a result they should be treated like smokers are on the nhs.

A different approach is needed.

Shutting pubs, or other temporary lockdowns/restrictions for a few weeks/months just curtails the virus for that given time. Once lifted, as we are all now seeing, the virus bounces back.

Time to admit the virus is winning. Unless the populace is complicit in all lockdown rules - unless lockdown is more strict, and unless law enforcement grow a pair and strictly enforce lockdown rules, then we're fecked and CV-19, unless a vaccine is found (which could be ten months or ten years) is the only winner.


Perhaps this will be Mother natures resetting the equilibrium after all!

your down the pecking order when it comes to specialist treatment if its caused by smoking an/or alcohol but y ou already knew that.

I think the governments plans are slow and sure herd immunity by stealth. Bit by bit it's making more sense - and no, I don't own a tin foil hat.

Only problem with herd immunity is that no one is sure if it could be achieved, just been reading about a man in America who caught Covid twice in a couple of months with the second case being at least as severe as the first time. The virus was very different in the second case doctors are sure he has been re infected by a different person as opposed to the first case just dragging on. They also don't know if anybody with mild symptoms will build any immunity at all.

Probably. If I thought we needed a full lockdown I'd support it, trouble is with the urbanist gov we have they don't even know we exist. Exeter is getting near a lockdown but why should Plymouth? The borough I live in has about 20 cases why should we all join the North where there are thousands?

140 odd cases in Plymouth so Spotlight said last night. 50 per 100,000.

Can't see the point in a two/three week full lockdown, as it is just kicking the can down the road and cases will increase as soon as we are all out and about again.
