He's not going to be a pundit for every game and will probably be finished with that role near the final its not uncommon for current managers/head coaches to do these jobs over the summer and then finish up before their clubs start pre season. He will be taking pre season training on day one the club would have insisted on that with the other coaches here and the new ones to be appointed and as he isnt signing the players that part of the summer preps will be taken care off on his behalf as will the planning off pre season games and any tour thrown in so literally he doesnt have to turn up here till pre season and could work from home for the rest of the time while talking shit on the bbc.

As for Hallett's comment didnt he say the samething about Foster? perhaps next time he lets someone else do the interviews who isnt so easliy won over with big words and fancy quotes.

To be honest it looks like  a case of a manager who no one was willing to hire meets a club no one was keen to manage.

spot on i think thats exactly what happened here.

Probably best for Argo fans not to look at the comments section on the BBC story LOL

I think the majority consensus of posters is what the f@## has Argyle done!’

WAYNE Rooney is house-hunting in Britain’s costliest coastal hotspot in the West Country

The England and Man United great, 38, and wife Coleen have been eyeing properties in and around the posh Devon resort of Salcombe.

Roo, axed as Birmingham City manager in January, is the new boss of Championship side Plymouth Argyle.

Salcombe, about 25 miles to the east of Plymouth, is a haven for sailors, yachties and surfers and is in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Homes there average about £1.1million and this month it was named Britain’s most expensive coastal spot.

Mum-of-four Coleen, 38, is said to be keen on having a second family home by the coast — although the family’s Cheshire mansion would remain their principal base as the boys are enrolled in schools there.

Eldest Kai, 14, is also a striker with Manchester United’s Youth Academy.

A source said: “Salcombe and its surrounding area are beautiful. It’s easy to see why Wayne and Coleen would look there.

“It’s a magnet for posh public school types in red chinos and deck shoes so Wayne might stick out a bit but I’m sure he would be made welcome.”

A footie insider said: “Coleen’s given her blessing to this possible move. She wants somewhere suitable for the family and they all love a beach holiday so Salcombe would be ideal.”

First time poster here and new to the forum (no, I'm not Harve). Also a pasoti exile. The less said about that lot and the lovely site owner, the better. Can't say I'm looking forward to next season with Mr Potato Head in charge. I can only see it ending in tears. Have a lovely bank holiday everyone. Don't forget, Newell is a Nancy boy👍🏻
