So the vile oaf Johnson stood on the steps of Downing St over 2 years ago and announced there and then we have a plan for social care

Fast forward 26 months and the evil clown decides to raise National Insurance rates by 1.2% and claims in the press conference its been forced on us because of the pandemic (with anyone normal a perfectly reasonable response)

Which leads to the real question what actually was the plan on 24th July 2019 pre covid.............

Thank God and finally the Tory filth are wilting

If only Labour had a more aggressive leader (Yvette Cooper for one) the lead would be much bigger but nonetheless small steps of progress

I didn’t notice the Tory 2019 mandate included a £390 billion spend for a pandemic, a pandemic that they also didn’t include in their mandate, how dare they !
What some of these doughbake politicians particularly from the nonentity parties (which probably includes every opposition party) don’t provide is their solution to finding the additional funding.
For me it should have an income tax rise where the lower paid pay little or no extra, increase on capital gains tax and screw those companies like Amazon etc

Spot on Graiser the rich will only pay the extra NI on their first £50K then it drops to 2%, my boys bosses take probably a cool £1m a year from their business (don't get me wrong they have built it from scratch and are good employers with a great work and life ethic) but they only draw a salary of £12.5k p/a each the rest they take in bonuses. They were saying to him how fooked it is.

Only 50,000 Mr S ? With a gargantuan 400,000 shortage across Europe we gotta start to think big. Then there is the U.S.A. where a scarcity of drivers over a number of years has seen prices rise in their shops - there's even an insufficency of aircraft fuel at some of the countries airports. Meh, don't worry. In his ultimate wisdom, which tantamounts to feck all about the haulage industry, in order to rush through more new drivers, transport minister Grant Shapps has decided to scrap the reversing exercise and the coupling/uncoupling exercise from the HGV class 1 test. Oh, and you no longer have to do your class 2 first. Effectively, you can go from driving a little smart car to a 44 tonne wagon in a few weeks. Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaantastic.

What could possibly go wrong. FFS

Ps: if a 60 foot trailer overtakes you coming down the M5 without it's tractor unit, It ain't me!

You dont need to be well switched on financially to see the uproar that going to ensue as the cuts hit in October
