I've got a couple of hours work to do, followed by a full fry up at lunchtime, walk on the moors to settle nerves, into Lidls to get a crate of Ale, home for roast dinner planning to be sat down watching by 7.30, go have a piss and get another beerwhilst the knee taking is happening then roaring us onto victory.

Don't think that they were allowed subs in that world cup-if someone was injured then it was either they stayed on as a passenger or 10 men for the rest of the match. Subs had been introduced into league football the season before but fairly sure that it was 1970 before the WC took them onboard, which led to the controversial replacement of Bobby Charlton by Sir Alf in the ill fated game against West Germany.

Obvs I want us to win, but fear the Italians are far to clinical in their passing, angles and ability to get a shot off out of nothing, and of course feigning being shot and playing to the ref if things don't go their way.

im going into this game with the belief England are the underdogs and this will be their first actual test in terms of teams capable of beating them and in form. They can win it but they have to go at Italy and not pass it back and sideways ad 9 men behind the ball looking for the counter attack as Italy are a very good side but the do have flaws.

We got to the final, which is an unbelievable achievement, but that's where the story of Euro 2020 ends for England. Italy have far too much attacking prowess for England and are far more adept when it comes to playing the referee.

If you were forecasting an England win I would be worried.

Never realised what an awful standard of football the match was. By modern comparisons it was quite bizarre at times. England are 2-1 up in the 88th minute of a World Cup final and five players were surging forward in an attack. Also the ball boys were running to get the ball back in play with England winning. Seeing a game out or gamesmanship of any kind seemed non-existent back then.

Italy wont score tonight

Italy starting to find their rhythm but they have naff all upfront to make good on it hence why i dont think they will score at all tonight..

England need to come out the blocks in the second half and get that 2nd and kill the game off i dont think it will be too long before supersub Grealish comes on to do just that.

It will be a miracle if England win this. England being forced deep all the time and Italy's dominance, pace, passing and movement around the box - it's only a matter of time before Italy score their first. England do not look like scoring another at all.

Grealish and Sancho will come on nd run at the tired italians which hopefully opens them up to get that 2nd. Unless Mancini finds a striker on the bench they arent scoring

Italy are not playing bad and England are defending well i still will be alot happier if we get that 2nd soon.

if we get the players with pace on and go at them we should win it but i feel southgate will hold off doing that till the last minute
