Coming together nicely. Are GOS going to continue to photograph three workmen moving a wheelbarrow full of crap around the site all summer? Maybe the PASOTI buckets could be better employed moving all that freakish water off Posh Jims site so he doesn't need to build drains.

I see that Nools latest victim ploy has managed to remove any mention of the planning conditions not being met or any problems with drainage, luckily they all check ATD for the news.

It’s a shame that GoS no longer have photos of the horseshoe redevelopment. It would have been interesting to compare the progress of the two developments.

Heading home through Outland Road today, I decided to turn off and have a look at the new 'development', or as it is, numerous piles of rubble. There were 2 blokes and a digger behind the main entrance, one bloke was sweeping, the other was sat in the digger with his feet up.

As the sounds of 'YMCA' were blaring out from the GT suite, I didn't hang about too long so wandered down to where I assume the ice rink will be, which seems to have been cleared - waiting for the drainage issue to be sorted obviously. Walking down past the Life Centre (where Cottage Field used to be?), there is some work going on and the PCC sign there says drainage work is being carried out to the park.

Now, from the Ice Rink to the nearest workings isn't that far, probably 800 yards or so to connect to the system, so it shouldn't be overly expensive to do - but we all know that Brent won't want to pay for it, even if it means the development and the refurb not happening - which won't bother him one iota. Given his history at Oldway, he'll be preparing to take PCC to court even as we speak.

Still, I'm sure the Project Manager is on the case.

They were watering the pitch though.
