Look. It isn't fair to tease about it being 80 days since planning permission was granted and we still haven't even got a contractor or a priced-up and signed off schedule. It's not fair and I've always said that he isn't a property developer anyway so what else would you expect?

If we appointed a contractor either it'd start immediately, in which case we might be short of capacity for the play-offs, or want to be paid not to start and we'd rather that money was spent on the team than a contractor actually being paid to do nothing, wouldn't we?

I've looked into his eyes, seen his lip quiver and enjoy his company. I know I can trust him. I won't hear a word against him or his lovely family.

Anti-Brent lots having a go again. He kept us in the League. If we were AFC Plymouth as Rickywrongun suggests we would have been in the lowest possible tier, ask fans of Wimbledon, Newport, Hereford, etc, etc. Peninsular football, that is. I take it the Anti-Brent Brigade are willing to put their hands in their pockets to contribute to the club. The man's a businessman with other commitments, leave the east target alone. Being local has nothing to do with anything as far as ownership goes, and in any event, I thought Hallett lived in America. Perhaps I'm wrong.
Good intent is where it's at, along with the model of ownership deployed, with it's accountability, and dare I say it, transparency. Nil point so far on those criteria.

Its quite alarming the rate at which high street restaurants/cafes/bars are either shutting outlets or announcing huge losses. Its quite likely that some of the Barbican Leisure Park food businesses are under threat, particularly in light of the Bretonside development.

Would seem to be a very poor time to attempt to build a development that is highly dependant on food outlets signing leases.

I Agree and when you build in the middle of nowhere next to a road that most sane people would avoid like the black death especially on match days its a ludicrous scheme thats doomed to fail and fail it will.
