Right boys and girls:

Spoken to the club, here's the deal, I didn't mention who I was from, just enquiring about what it would cost.

A 12' x 4' board along the Mayflower facing the Lyndhurst for the remainder of the current season only would cost £650 +VAT plus manufacturing cost direct to the signwriters. An entire season is £1400+ VAT. I did ask what happens if we lose FL status, but the thinking at HP is we will still see 6/6500 turn up each week to watch Conference football - yeah right! Rolling Eyes

A 22' board along the crowd facing side of the Lyndhurst (i.e. can't be seen by anyone other than the Lyndhurst) is £250 +VAT for the entire season. Clearly there would need to be a reduction for the remainder of this season or a deal struck to include next season too.

So, there you have it.

Cost of a board - £120ish?? plus VAT

The big question now will be if they will accept ATD as a suitable advertiser, and if not, why not? Don the tinfoil hats all you conspiracy theorists!

Well I'd chip in but I'm sure angry emails have already gone to JB to scupper this cunning plan. "We don't want money from the likes of you freaks".

"Freaks Welcome"

I expect Newell and Webb will be pulling hair out to prevent the much needed cash from going into the club account, however I can think of a great Plan B if it's required!

We can start at 20 quid each?

"NO AVIVAS" has to be the last sentence. lol!

Bit like Basil Fawlty putting "no riff raff" in his paper ad for the gourmet night.

£10 from me but with another £40 if we can have a small print "supporting the Trust". I know not everyone is a trust supporter so I'll be interested to read views? - It's just an idea.

Afraid I'm going to be boring and sensible now. Too many words and it gets too small to read, not to mention that slogans and in-jokes go out of date and won't mean anything to most people. So I reckon we should just have:

Argyle Talk Democratic [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Supporting the Argyle Fans' Trust

With the old white shirt logo at each end (like up the top).

Indeed, I think we should insist on proof reading the finished board before handing over the money.
Such is the invective used against this fans' forum, I fully expect the club will not accept a billboard from us.... according to James Brent we're digusting apparently if we believe Chris Webb's comments on here. I always expected Ridsdale to leave a divided club and fanbase. He certainly did.
