Yes but it could change. Even that wide eyed Italian ref seemed able to command respect because it was obvious he would not allow himself to be treated like a punchbag. Most football refs actually look scared and try to talk to players by their first names, when it should be, whistle, listen to me and don't answer back or you're out of here !
The sight of refs backing away, pursued by baying, imaginary card waving morons is depressing.

Couldn't agree more. If you're going to have rules .... have them, enforce them. For a few matches there will be uproar and the odd ref may get death threats or even worse but after that the crap that goes on in football will ease off.

(And pp, some of your posts on this have been up to your classic standard that I knew and loved ..... but what is a "young farmer rogering" and how does that fit in with this thread? Please be aware of my innocent sensibilities.)

Just using the terminology that young farmers might and do use .... don't take it too literally Knecht.
My point was I have attended many middle class and hunting fraternity bashes in my time, and they can often turn into a bit of a brawl as bloody as some inner city pub. But they keep it behind closed doors.

Damn right Pirate, damn right squire! In fact twas but the other day when I was riding through the grounds and came across some local council estate oiks on the peripheries. Picture the scene; two scarily large dogs were covered in blood and violently shaking a badger. The badger was emitting a distinctive chittering, the sound of a wild animal in great pain and distress. Several terriers raced around, snatching a bite as the dogs played tug-of-war with the badger. Most shockingly of all, this group of feral oiks stood in the field watching. One encouraged his dogs to attack the badger. Others laughed and joked, excited by what they were seeing.

Scum, sir, pure scum. How could they take such enjoyment from the hurt of an innocent creature! I snapped them on my cameraphone; the local sheriff will be very interested in these terribly brought up oiks, if he is not already. Then it was off to re-join the rest of the hunt for more frolics and games, I'm not the kind of chap to let oiks ruin my day, especially when the horn sounded and the thrill of the chase was on - Tally Ho!

Help! I could have sworn I saw a thread on Exeweb linking to our Greenjock's last post, but it seems to have disappeared.

Or did I dream it?

My ex-sister-in-law was a Young Farmer in her youth. I never heard her say anything about brawling. Just don't ask me about how she dislocated her jaw at a young farmer's barbie - my ex-wife swore me to secrecy.

You're fine, Greenjock's mega post was copied there which generated a bit of ritual abuse of the low life, apparently the new rulers of the Exeweb are chipped from the same block as Napoleon and deleted the thread, tbh honest I wouldn't be surprised if Newell was involved in the takeover himself, makes you feel a bit sick doesn't it ?

Newell knows if he returns to the Exeweb boards again it will get a whole lot worse for him. All his multi's are known, all his vile remarks are archived. No doubt the inarticulate, poorly educated fool will not be able to help himself and post again. We believe he is actually sick, but bullying in any society, virtual or real has its consequences and there is no excuse. Thankfully, the majority on Exeweb do not see him as a real Argyle fan, merely a simpleton, wannabe thug intent on self promotion at all costs.

But you know what he's like with his networking Red. If he can worm his way into Home Park, I'm sure he can become 'real friends' with the new Exeweb owners.

Exeweb was a great site, porkie was continually running to the mods with gripes and greivances but little notice was taken of his blustering bullying.

Once porkie was convinced I had insinuated he was a paedophile (wrongly) and got the whole site closed down for a couple of days snd threatened the site with legal action.

Site came back up and I never even received a warning, the moderators recognised not only that I had said nothing of the sort, but that he was a squealer that would attempt to silence anyone that threatened his monumental self esteem.

I sincerely hope that porkie never gets his hands on Exeweb, I would leave and probably take up residence here.

It would be exactly his sort of stunt he would do if he did have at least an ear on Exweb. If it goes the same way as our Pasoti then you guys need to do what we've done and create an alternative, asap.

I noticed with interest that exeweb seems to have fallen under the spell of porkus and has changed ever so slightly recently. Also saw how sad it is that cerbera goes onto another team's forum to continually post about porkus, from a Torquay fan on another team's site who continually just posts to praise and defend porkus? Very strange goings on.

Eh?

Sorry, lost me there.

I was/am on Exeweb for a bit of banter. But I also post sensible stuff on TWoWS and the Social.

Could you explain yourself please? I think that you just had a dig, which was uncalled for.

Cerbera is more than welcome on Exeweb. He makes no secret that he supports Argyle (this in your Club's worst period in history), yet he has been totally accepted as just himself. I don't think anybody see's him as anything but a decent football fan and he posts on all forums. If anything Cerbera together with Argyle Paul have be instrumental in improving relations between both sets of real football fans on these forums as have ATD.

You've got it totally wrong Cerbera and TRS. I was referring to Southampton Gull who was having a pop at you for coming onto Exeweb to insult Porkus which was rich coming from someone who also supports another team yet spends all his time on Pasoti or Exeweb praising Ian Newell:

: where has the newell thread gone?

Lol, that made me laugh.

Listen mate, I choose to judge people by how I find them, not how someone tells me to. I've met Ian a number of times and although we ALWAYS end up arguing I would never dispute his passion and love for his chosen Club. Whether what he does regarding the running of a website is right or wrong is totally immaterial to me. I really couldn't care less how he moderates an Argyle fans forum, that's your problem not mine. I like the bloke, I admire the hard work he put in to try and help save his club and all the fundraising he did for the staff who went unpaid for so long. Now aside from that, do you expect me to sympathise with someone like Tringy who followed him here and chose to air their dirty laundry in front of the enemy? I find that particularly sad to be perfectly honest. You have ATD to air your views of him, spewing it all over Exeweb makes you all look like a bunch of sad losers to be honest. I'd have more respect for your views and your opinion of me if you said those things to his face, and I bet he would too.

Thank you Red Star, cheque's in the post! Very Happy

Just read the thread (now locked) on Exeweb. Not sure what I did wrong there to be honest. It would appear that Exeweb has become a bit 'Pasoti'.

Newell and his type love to dish it out but can't take it back. He decided to ban the very people who could see where the club was heading with Stapleton and then gets all cross because we set up our own forum and take the piss out of him. So he effectively infiltrates the admin[history has a habit of repeating itself Exewebbers] and closes us down. Hence ATD is born. His endless, childlike and unpleasant boasting on Exeweb was then ruined by my good self AND the Grecians' dragging up all the boastful crap he'd come out with over the years, which now shows him for the fool he is.

As for meeting up with him for a chat, I'll do that. Just can't be arsed to travel more than 10- 15 miles to watch crap football.

I think it's safe to say we wouldn't get on.
