That the President and the former captain's wife have "found" each other has nothing to do with anyone other than the immediate families.
However, Chris Webb has sullied the somewhat tame title he holds and must resign. Failing to do so will taint the football club.

He did that long ago. This is just one more to add to a long list of "indiscretions".

I would but you're trying to paint Webb as some kind of erotic wizard who's cast a spell on an innocent damsel. Perhaps Mr Purse is chuffed to bits, perhaps he is deeply upset. Nobody knows and it's their business. In addition, it might not be an end to their marriage and their family life - some couples have open relationships.

I don't understand Rollos comment either.
Apart from a few high profile national figures, Union reps and proper socialists are very often two different animals. I wouldn't spit on most Unions these days when push comes to shove. The real fight is elsewhere, and has been for a long time.
It's always been one way for the underskilled and selfish to progress to management. How else do they get to meet, please the boss that they look up to, and have something of value to offer ?

There was a time when I would have debated those comments with you WG, but I tend to agree....and I am a union rep.

Good luck with it Gob. I was also a rep under Nalgo, a long time ago. I know of a local high profile very active and well respected union rep who not so long ago was threatened with all sorts of falsehoods by his NEC and other nefarious bodies. The fight just moves somewhere else, and largely has. Society has changed. If mass unionised workers are not prepared to stand for their rights in the workplace, that's up to them. With Hairy leading the workplace socialist cause, they're all doomed. As Webby would say, you only get out what you put in.

It's always mystifies me when the Left hijack the morality question. It's almost like they own it. The majority of them would have no qualms about using private education or healthcare if they could afford it. But they don't talk about it.
It's the Do as I say, not as I do element that annoys me.
Webb appears to have the morals of an alley cat. Only too glad he's keeping the socialist tradition going.

Funnily enough Rollo, Karl Marx was thought to be a bit wayward and was rumoured to have a child with the housekeeper. If you actually understood left wing politics you would understand sexual behaviour isn't one of the main tenets.

It is the right wing bourgeois that harp on about right and wrong in this area, and do you know why ?. Mainly because they're worried who's going to inherit the property, and in fact if you read yer Engels, you'll find the whole idea of marriage and monogamy was invented to ease the passing of property without another fight.

On a more general non left/right wing thing, the whole idea of "right and wrong" comes down to one very simple rule, and tries to bridge the continual blurring of the ego necessary and family cooperation necessary in our human survival. Community/tribe/family/pack whatever you call it is good, self is bad. Look through any discussion you like, especially Christian teachings, and you will find that is at the bottom of the "morality" thing. It's obvious therefore the Left will always hold the cards in such a debate.

Webby is a hypocrite because he espoused the family values thing on more than one public occasion. Nothing to do with left/right.
