Rastus is a pejorative term traditionally associated with African Americans in the United States. It is considered offensive.

Spot on if you're a headmaster or a parent talking to their naughty 6 year old. What he should be saying is that those responsible should be traced by the police and prosecuted for hate crimes. But he won't say that because he doesn't give a flying one.

It is a sad indictment on our country that these things happen, and are happening more and more, but when you have an intolerant, racist, bigoted and divided society, as has developed over the last 5 years, led, amongst others, by our current leader, it really is no surprise.

How do we know he hasn't? Anyway, wouldn't someone like Met Chief Constable Cressida Dick be duty-bound to appoint a senior officer to take up the case - afterall it happened in her manor.

There were also attacks on German cars, German companies, anything German in fact. That element has always been there which included the monkey noises and bananas aimed at black players for many years after they first started appearing in English football and certainly has not been affected by British membership or non membership of the EU which presumably the reference to the last 5 years would imply. Riots in Dublin? Heysel? The consistently atrocious behaviour of British fans abroad in the 1980's and 1990's? They all happened during British membership of the EU-it would seem to be ignoring the deeper rooted issues of chronic bigotry and prejudice to suggest that Britain's withdrawal from that organisation is in any way relevant to the appalling and embarrassing behaviour of a minority. In fact, in my own experience the most divisive factor in recent times has been the onset of BLM and white privilege theories which seem to thrive on the implication that Britain is a country teeming with malevolent bigots rather than seeing it as one of the most racially tolerant societies in the world for all it's undoubted faults.

When Johnson, Patel and the rest of his utterly inept Cabinet started their divisive culture war I suspect they didn’t expect to be up against articulate and popular England footballers supported by the vast majority of the country.

You reap what you sow Johnson. Patel rivals you as the most vile individual in the country bearing in mind her background

Truly appalling.

It was nice to see the reality of race and football with the massive crowds of Asians, Blacks and white fans all mingling together and uniting around the England team, a very rare show of unity that couldn't be interpreted any other way other than most normal people including football fans are not racist and never have been.
I am not condoning the stupid racist tweets yet I would question how many actual real racists there are out there, one figure I saw was 8500 tweets looked at and 159 were real bad ones. I would also question why people have made these tweets and it's not beyond the realms of possibility that many of them were made by remainers who didn't like to see a Unified country as this goes against ther whole philosophy which entails driving wedges through British society to get rid of Johnson and reverse Brexit.
