First league game of the season, and the Noble Lord has once again graciously agreed to sponsor the Match Thread, for which he gets a pint and a bowl of chips at the Freak Meet of his choice!

At the game. Poor goal to give away - we had one def marking 3 of theirs on a free kick. Free header into the top corner. Chadwick has won a few balls in the air but sometimesd leads with his arm. Vorza nerd just starting to chant although aldershot sound better even before their goal.

Thanks for the info Mike. Outsung by Aldershot. Look how far we've come. I take it the twisted one is in his customary position/pose in the directors' box, trying to look important ?

Just be grateful we still have a club to follow.

Can't see from lyndhurst but I think Tony chowell might be sat a few rows in front of me- or a lookalike. Wotton just hit the post with a fk. We are playing some ok football at times. Chadwick looks one of our better players! Gurrieri looks good also.

Well we are higher rated by the bookies than the mighty Aldershot and we are at home, so one would hope that they don't play us off the park at this level.

I agree with you......usually I look forward to the start of a season like an excitable child. Not this season though.

My club of the last 35 odd years does not exist anymore.

Forza nerd silent at moment. Argyles final ball is letting us down. Subs are saunaing in the dug outs. Carl y know doesn't look happy. Aldershot starting to attack more.

Crowd moaning about aldershot time wasting. Less than 100 in family enclosure listening to shots such as wanker, f words and c words. Forza still quiet. Poor shot from hourihane from edge of box. 2 min added time.

Jeez, Argyle are the only side letting my accumulator down at the minute. All I want is a draw at home to Aldershot FFS.

Ht same old argo. Poor defending at set piece leads to an easy goal. Some nice passing football let down by poor final ball and lack of movement by strikers. Final 10-15 mins quite poor. Wotton hit post but apart from that their keeper has had little to do. Advertising the memberships on tannoy again- I would guess sales haven't hit targets.

What you need is a good defensive coach,not Nance or LarryO.That would solve the problem of letting in stupid goals.Someone like Sloop Jon B.
