Just heard (not even on Wikipedia yet!) that we are getting George Barker on loan from Brighton. He's a young Striker looking to play regular football, doesn't stop running and knows where the net is.

If that's true, Napoleon's love affair with Brighton will know no bounds Rolling Eyes

So he runs and knows where the net is - sounds like a fit and intelligent young man. What's he like with a ball?

Wow another footballer involved in a sexual assault charge. Great stuff, now all we need is Ched Evans to win his appeal and McCormick to fall out with DiCanio.

Perhaps he'll be signed with a view to becoming an Argyle Ambassador.

Remember the days when Argyle were a very decent championship side and Brighton were among the also rans? Ah,such memories, all seems a long time ago now.Now they pick off our best players and send down their rookies-crumbs from the masters table. They would be among a clutch of clubs who have overtaken us in recent times and are likely to remain light years ahead for decades to come, exactly as Southampton,Ipswich,Norwich,Palace,Coventry,QPR etc in the 1960's.Puke making really but so emphasing the need for the cash backed ambition that Tring often refers to.

Still haven't seen this confirmed anywhere?

Also Alan Connell signed for Bradford on a free transfer. If we were in the running, or were even just interested in him, Swindon released him early from his contract but he didn't want to come to Sunny Plymouth and chose the delights of Bradford instead Shocked

When they said Argyle were getting a few "trialists" in, I had visions of players who were looking to restart their careers after being let go by Premiership clubs after one or two appearances in the first team, not one or two appearances in the local Crown Court

Fletcher should do his scouting by watching the Football League Show, not Crimewatch.

And we should be thinking about paying a transfer fee, not just Bail money.

I dont think Argyle will be paying transfer fees for a long long time. The loan market appears to be the only option open to the club now and I fully expect one or two loanees coming in over the next few weeks.

Spanish trialist goes by the name of Alejandro Perez Jimenez, released by Sevilla apparently. If true, he's probably very used to the ball being passed to feet so it could either signify a change in approach, or a looong, neck aching afternoon for him...

No Griffiths or Barker so they were either no good or the reports were wrong. The Spanish guy seems to be playing at RB so another defender possibly?

According to Chris Errington on Twitter, Jimenez's trial is over.

Was he found not guilty and he left thinking what a close shave he had? He almost had to sign for us until someone pointed out he could tackle and pass the ball.
