I'm wracking my brains in an effort to come with some sort of justification Webb may have for working for Mercer. It has to be somewhere in the ball park of 'Mercer jumped in an icy lake and saved my whole family from drowning'.

Without looking a complete laughing stock, what other sort of reasoning could he have?

Dont get me wrong i dont know this mercer fella from adam and wouldnt put people off voting for him but it does strike me as very strange bedfellows

I think he supports Tottenham and lives in that most plastic of plastic footballing towns - Milton Keynes.

Even today's wishy washy Labour Party filled with "social democrats" or "democratic socialists" or whatever it is they like to call themselves or the wider Trade Union movement would never even dream of campaigning for the Tories. It's a complete betrayal of everything they hold dear and right up there with being a blackleg or a scab. In fact that is exactly what it is.

Nobody with even a hint of socialism or decency about them would have done it.

So it's bang on the trendline set by his previous behaviours.

We only ASSUME that Webby is a socialist because he worked for a union, he is obviously NEW LABOUR ie. a politician that easily lays aside any principles in favour of being driven about in limousines.

Not even a New Labour believer would have campaigned for the Tories.

Any real socialist would have baulked, protested, striked at the merest hint of a once public asset being siphoned off to a fat cats pension fund (twice)

Any real socialist would have been straight down the industrial tribune route if someone used power and influence to remove someone writing for an organisation and would have defended to the hilt their right of freedom of speech

Obviously not a socialist, not all TU people are.

So after his suckcess with the Post Ofiice union and now MP-elect Mr Mercer, i understand that the main political parties are vying ( for his lying ) abilities to push them over the line in the General Erection, realising his special abilities in wooing the fairer sex.

Regardless of TU links, new or old labour no one would help a Tory...ever. How could he look his old electorate in the eye. The problem people in power have with social media is that they forget it is "social". Embrace the freedom and if you don't your detractors will simply find a way to express their opinions elsewhere.

There are some Argyle historians on this site. I go to probably 4-6 games a season (more in the past and since 1986) and even I see the same old faces. I have never bumped into Webby anywhere. Did anyone else in their youth?

I see John Shez1 is active again, Bobby Williamson type "he's a drunk" campaign getting momentum for the close season.

If only we knew who Johnshez1 is. Maybe we could ask the club what they think of it. I wonder what Sheridan's family think when they read it? Do they threaten Twitter with legal action and abuse reports?
