Being serious, the reintroduction has come about now (imho) the rabbit population etc has increased. Sources have suggested that climate change affected the lynx population, however, myxomitosis (sp) may have played a part.

From what I've seen of the Potuguese I reckon they've eaten them all. (Lynx included). Funnily enough I read a report on the release of Lynx in Spain and they reckoned the roads had killed about half of all the Lynx they released, shame they are a beautiful animal.

The helicopter version was not fit for purpose either when needed......and certainly not so beautiful.

It was taken either by a mink, stoat, weasel, heron, crow, raven, magpie, buzzard, sparrow hawk, herring gull, cat..... To name just a few. Unforch ducklings are the favourite snack food of every thing out there that eats meaty things.
