Ian Newell‏@IJN3

The end of an era today, I've asked for my Pasoti account to be deleted. Easier that way

Which one though? lol!

I guess after being caught out yet again trying to play underhand games it's a case of jump while you can.

He appears to have mis-spelled 'error'.

Has he deleted his account or have the mods finally banned him?

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if some pressure was put on him after his latest shenanigans but I think he is just walking away from digging bigger and bigger holes for himself.

Feet under the table ? He's doing a Webb. When Peter Jones left the Board, he posted on internet fans' forums. When he hooked up with James Brent, he stopped posting... it's not hard to see a pattern.
All I can say is the internet forums will be a far better place without the likes of him, and the culture he has encouraged, if not invented.

it's the ultimate pulling up the drawbridge. Can't answer any questions from afar but will no doubt be casting his beady eye over the freaks and weirdos on here and Pasoti whilst surrounding himself with REAL friends, yes men and sycophants. Its hard to have your ear to the ground from the directors box and easy to say I can't hear you (Hooper Syndrome) from lofty heights when doubts, bad performances and criticism come from ordinary Joe Soap supporters.

He isnt going anywhere! there is more chance of finding intelligent life in ibiza then there is Ian Newell quitting pasoti for long.

The tw@t will not be able to stay away. He is a serial abuser and will be back, if indeed he ever leaves in the first place. How many multi accounts does he have? he had around 8 on Exeweb.

Scum is always scum, on the internet or off it.

Exactly. Don't worry. He can't stand being out of the limelight for too long. His ego won't allow it.

If he really goes, brilliant, he is at the heart of every big row that has happened internally and between the two sites. Now get the other DTers out, PL2faced and we could have a much nicer environment to follow Argo online. But like everybody says how do we know he doesn't have anymore multi's?
Pasoti seems like it is having a real go at sorting this out now, led by Greenthing and for this they should be applauded, I am another that has had enough of this shit.

Even if, on the face of it, the IJN account is closed, it will have been done with an ocean of bitterness simmering and just waiting to come to the boil.

Sniping away on Twitter is actually far more 'instant', so little will actually change, in the grand scheme of things.

Saracen may or may not be a plant. He may be a new poster on pasoti who simply sees things in a positive way.

The trouble is that pasoti's historical decision to remove evidence of how long anyone has been posting makes anyone new suspect. That decision, in my opinion, is something that pasoti will have to reverse if the suspicions are to ease. They are the victims of their own manipulations and so is anyone new to the site. Saracen may be one of the victims rather than a multi. Who knows!?

What a shame for those new innocent posters that just want to give of their Argyle opinion. But that was the whole aim ... to take away much of the public audit trail that keeps a community confident in it's own processes... and how ironic after we all witnessed IJN's wish for ALL other posters to post under their real names.... quite, quite extraordinary.. what a stinking website it has become ... like something out of Kafka.

It wasn't IJN's initial idea that all posters should post under their real names though was it? - the longtime champion of that notion was non-other than his directors box meal ticket benefactor.
