Cole - 10 - can't fault him, looked solid throughout, made a stunning save at the death
Nelson - 6 - did nothing wrong today, decent first touch but caught out of position sometimes
Purse - 8 - much better
Blanchard - 8 solid as always
Bhasera - 7 - looked good
Gurrieri - 5 - he wasn't really in the game at all, came off at HT
Wotton - 7 - good match
Hourihane - 6 - decent today, great through balls but easily tackled
Gorman - 9 - this lad has something
Chadwick - 4 - awful but scored a bloody good goal
Lecointe - 5 - maybe not quite up to it

Lennox - 7 - looked decent today, good pace
young - 6 - did okay, out of position on the left
PCH - 7 - looked good, poachers goal

Professional performance, and we actually played some decent stuff

Cobi, you really need to analyse how the journo's rate players, 'cos yours are silly.

You don't give a keeper who's had nothing to do all game, a '10', 'cos he makes a meaningless save when the games over.

Why don't I? He did nothing wrong, made 3 or 4 solid saves, 1 good save and 1 fantastic save. And it doesn't matter whether you make a save which gives you the champions league or the save he made today.

I just thought you'd like to be taken a little more seriously, as you're growing up now.

Bare in mind we played kids tonight so all these fantastic performance reports i am reading would suggest we just beaten man city.

How can you give Chadwick 4 when he had possibly his best game ever for the greens.He led the line perfectly , won everthing in the air and scored a great goal? What else has he got to do?

Cole - 6. Good save at the end but a couple of dodgy communication issues with Purse in the first half. A good 6 yard box keeper.

Purse - 6. Between him and Blanchard they mopped up the minimal threat Pompey offered.
Blanchard - 6. Hoofs it away a lot when not under pressure
Bhasera - 7 - Our most composed player, looked for the ball and strong in tackle
Gurrieri - 4 - he wasn't really in the game at all, came off at HT. Now he's got a contract is he bothered?
Wotton - 6 - Very quiet game but cant pinpoint much wrong. At stages in the second half I was screaming for him to do something, but nothing.
Hourihane - 5 - Poor when not anonymous.
Gorman - 6 - Lost the ball several times, can't take a player on, goal wasn't intended.
Chadwick - 7 - was our out ball and bullied Pompey's young backline in the air. Missed a sitter, scored a sitter.
Lecointe - 5 - looked the one player who could create a chance rather than force one from a mistake, but not involved enough.

Lennox - 7 - A bit of pace was appreciated and wasn't afraid to take people on.
young - 6 - did okay
PCH - 6 - looks so lightweight

Agreed he needs to do it consistantly but credit where due , he was great last night.
