Well the actual vote takes place on 4th July, so there's time for some shenanigans yet.

There's no way Rangers won't be playing in the SPL next season. The SPL and Sky will NEVER allow it. The other SPL clubs will vote the 'right' way when it counts.

Just been reading up a bit on the Rangers saga. 8 players opting out with the pundits opinion that the clubs participation in the SPL next season being more and more doubtful. 2 clubs in the first division have also said they will oppose their inclusion in that league. There might have to be a lot of shenanegins between now and the vote for them to remain a premier league club.

It's going to rip the heart out of Scottish football. Vendettas will start and whichever league rangers find themselves in, their fans are going to have the biggest chip on their shoulders.

As someone else pointed out, how are Scottish 3rd division clubs going to cope with several thousand angry bluenoses? And if the rules are broken to allow them back in the SPL, the other clubs will bring legal proceedings against the authorities.

Sky will renegotiate the tv deal if rangers aren't included, and that will be a hammer blow to the current SPL clubs.

I honestly don't know how it can be resolved by August.

It's like Man utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea being relegated to the conference, after a vote by the other premier league clubs. Leaving Man City to clean up the league unopposed.

Looks like a compromise is on the cards with Newco Rangers starting off in Division 1

3 clubs seem to be opposed to them joining division 1.
