Bristol Rovers Manager Joey Barton

Bristol Rovers Football Club can confirm that today the club has relieved First Team Manager Joey Barton of his duties.

Everyone at the club would like to thank Joey for all his efforts and wish him well in the future.

In the interim, Andy Mangan will lead the team supported by Glenn Whelan, Danny Ventre and Anssi Jaakkola who will remain in post.

Truth be told, many fans are far from happy with his performance thus far. However, while his performance at his previous clubs have been nothing to write home about, he wasn't dealt a very good hand when star player Jevani Brown was fined £5000 for assaulting one woman and threatening another - He never played for the club again. Then Matt Taylor queered his pitch even further by taking Sam Nombe to Rotherham. Talking of which, did Schumacher take any of your players with him?

nope he took cundle who was on loan and ennis left us in the summer for blackburn. Im sure that snake will be sniffing round in the summer for one or two players ad maybe staff too but hes got to pay.
