| Thought the other thread was looking a bit limp, so here we go for the current season. First of all, as this is an Argyle thread, hope you have a magnificent season (even thought several critics have you down as likely relegation contenders). City are (once again) likely to be a team in transition - though it would be good if we could stop attracting million pound plus bids for some of our players - and just concentrate on finally getting out of this league (again). Look forward to the season ahead and the gentle banter that will ensue. |

| Star product unsettled by transfer talk, new signings injured [possibly syphilis?] and an incredibly hard match against the gargantuan might of Bradford City led by agent Del. Doesn't look good and you fear a pattern might be set here-Taylor out by October? |

Do try and keep up. I thought you might be thinking about the £1.2m (plus add ons) we got for one of the players from our successful Academy rather than Randall Williams who came to us from Watford and had a very disappointing season last year after injury. |

no idea what they are I could be wrong Mr A, but G L might be trying to draw your attention to this... https://www.devonlive.com/sport/football/match-reports/plymouth-argyle-1-exeter-city-5869481 Of course this infomation is somewhat old hat as City recently had a creditable 1-1 draw up the Park against Swansea City. While I'm here I might as well ask what's your opinion of Ryan Lowe? I don't go looking for greenie bellyaching but criticism of pisspotty, Porcus Maximus and Ryan Lowe has dampened down to nothing. |

While I'm here I might as well ask what's your opinion of Ryan Lowe? I don't go looking for greenie bellyaching but criticism of pisspotty, Porcus Maximus and Ryan Lowe has dampened down to nothing. Pasoti died as soon as Newell got his hands on it. He systematically destroyed its credibility as an independent forum, and used it as a tool for highly dubious ’fundraising’ that was geared entirely to promote his Lord and Master, Brent. Anyone that had anything approaching a sense of humour was either banned or hounded off. All that’s left there now are a bunch of witless no marks and yes men. Brent is long gone now so Pasoti and Newell are totally irrelevant in the Argyle world. I’m not a huge fan of Lowe. Defensively, he’s a tactical calamity who’s shown huge naivety. A poor mans Kevin Keegan really. And that’s before he goes wittering on with his trademark Scouse rhetoric. |

My opinion of him is he is a good but could be a better overall manager he talks a good game. but his big hang-up is he is tactically naïve and ignorant when it comes to defending with the way he sets his teams up if plan A fails he is screwed. If he is to ever to manage in a higher league or a bigger club as he is always rumored to be destined to do he is going to have to work on those two areas otherwise he is destined to be a lower league manager for his career. |

| Congrats to my greenie chums on a fine victory over Sheffield Wednesday. After reading through the remarks concerning your defence during Saturday's game I'm beginningto wonder if agent Lowe's critics might have to modify their opinions.
Meanwhile City's win against what appears to be a poor Scunthorpe team leaves me happy but slightly unsure as to whether we can mould ourselves into a promotion chasing outfit. Still, 4-0 wins are always pleasing |

didnt their womens team lose to Argyle's though I don't know much about the ladies game but I believe they have played two games. The first was City ladies beating Plymouth 2-1 in the Devon County Cup played on May 31st 2021. A more up to date result on Sep 16 had Plymouth ladies running out 2-0. |
