I see Alastair Campbell on the BBC roasted Johnson last night over the Peter Stefanovic video clearly the chair was trying to move it on but he was having none of it. Approaching 25 million views now the longer they leave it the worse it becomes

So sickening that Starmer asked him to withdraw the jibe (twice) at a young boy who had died without family. Starmer looked on in disbelief as was the entire house yet Johnson refused and once again went off at a tangent about vaccination rates

I think it would be churlish not to give them their flickering moment in the sun m'lord. If ATDs anti-democrats really think the Labour party has finally girded it's loins it's worth remembering that the recent LibDem win in Chesham and Amersham was largely due local widespread opposition to HS2 - and I can't see anything in the future being as emotive as that. As for Labour's showing in that by-election....

Labour's Kim Leadbeater has narrowly won the Batley and Spen by-election following a bitter campaign.
After defeating her Conservative rival by just 323 votes, she said constituents had "rejected division" and "voted for hope".
It means she will now represent the seat previously held by her sister Jo Cox, who was murdered there in 2016.
The result will ease pressure on Labour leader Keir Starmer after recent election defeats for his party.
Ms Leadbeater said the "vast majority" of her conversations with voters during the campaign were about local rather than national issues.
Asked on BBC Breakfast whether Sir Keir had been an asset or a problem, she said: "The focus of the campaign was very much listening to local people."
