The sheer recklessness of Johnson is unforgivable. He was warned about this so many times yet knowingly chose a leave option that would stoke tensions and lied his way out of his own contradictions

What is so unforgivable is that youngsters in Northern Ireland are going to have to live with the consequences of this despicable government’s actions long after it has been brought down.

I did see that exports to the EU fell by 42% in January but increased by 48% in February. There was also a resteraunter on James Martin on the weekend saying how Brexit has been good for him as he can now buy as much Crab and Lobster as he needs when the last few years it's all been bought up by the big processors and shipped to the EU. We are also sending thousands of tonnes of Crab to China which is pretty unsustainable and very environmentally damaging.
The main voices we have been hearing from the fishing community are the big processors and exporters.

Scotland freezes fish, it is sent to China, thawed, filleted by North Korean workers, re frozen, sent back to the UK, thawed again and sold as 'fresh fish'

New Zealand Lamb is kept near to freezing for six to eight weeks on its 11,000 mile journey then sold as "fresh" on our shelves and can be refrozen quite legally.

The 'shellfish war' between the UK and the EU moved closer to a resolution last night after fishermen around the country were given the green light to export their catches to the continent.

No 10 was left furious earlier this year when the EU suddenly announced a ban on the export of live mussels, oysters, clams and cockles in what was viewed as an act of revenge for Brexit.

The European Commission said it would not accept crustaceans fished from Britain's so-called Class-B waters – which account for the vast majority of the produce – on the grounds of 'purity', despite Ministers being able to point to correspondence in which Brussels assured the UK that the exports would be allowed if accompanied by the right health certificate.

But now, in a review, the independent Food Standards Agency has upgraded the waters off Kent, Essex, Devon, Cornwall and Northumberland to Class A.

So shellfish caught there can avoid the EU ban without further purification treatment because they are deemed safe enough for direct consumption.

A Government source said: 'The ban on the import of shellfish from Class-B waters was without scientific or technical justification.

This Class B waters thing is total bollocks.
While we were in the EU there was never a problem but predicably they deem any waters outside the EU to be inferior & “class B”
This is farcical when there are both French & UK scallopers fishing side by side in the very same areas off Jersey, yet theUK boats cannot land their catch in France as it “is caught in class B waters”
