I was monitoring a thread on PASOTI about re-naming Sir John Hawkings Square which was backed by the site moderators who are encouraging people to sign a petition. Interestingly, a number of posters were not very happy about this suggestion. However, it seems that pretty much all the posts that were against the idea were deleted- with only those in support remaining. Now they have locked th thread and stuck it to the top of their website. It really is a very stange place that site !

Let me guess they want to rename it after jack leslie like some fool on the herald suggested that i saw earlier which is even more racist than before. they are so thick im off to make a corned beef sandwich im that hungry.

Most amusing- they keep editing the thread to remove comments from anyone who don't agree that Jack Leslie Square is fantastic news. Some fella disagreed with IJN, it must have hit a nerve, and now they are trading insults in the Terraces section !

i looked at the herald comments section and its more than 90% against it as its pandering to mobs which it is in truth and using jack as a racial ploy and that's more racist in my eyes. twitter isn't exactly awashed with support either so id love to know who tudor is representing when he thought this was a good idea under these circumstances.

i wager pasoti used their brent lobbying tactics and pushed tudor into making this decision its like they are blind to how suss this looks.
