Someone on Pasoti started a decent thread asking why on earth we havent got a Clock come Scoreboard as part of the ground or in the proposed refurbishment as even 7th and 8th tier clubs possess one....good question the reality is that Brents as tight as a duck arse but then that roaster Xisle chips in......I give up I really do

I can only assume if we did ever get a proper owner with class, vision and ambition who invested in the team and infrastructure this 'Xisle' character would be anti everything the owner did. As it seems would many of the regulars on JBsoti.

Just watched most of the Brent propaganda video on todays Brentherald, didn't watch all of it because my laptop was at risk of being heaved across the room.
Well at least he said there was no money for phase 2 and of course £5M was not penny pinching and represented a substantial investment (loan) because the asbestos ridden rust heap needs a new roof.
He said work would start at beginning of 2018, more mutterings about Exeter Chiefs etc etc.

Every schoolboy knows there are no electronic devices within 50 miles of the English coastline.
I saw over the FA Cup weekend, even the mighty Guiseley AFC have an electronic scoreboard and clock.

It's notable how often those rollers crash in off the channel and break right over the top of the stadium, isn't it?

I bet whoever it was that coined the "salty sea air" excuse all those years ago couldn't believe that they got away with it at the time and here we are 30 years later and it still holds. Amazing.

Grimsby's stadium, the closest to the sea in English football, is almost literally a McCormick goal kick away from the North Sea.

You don't really need a scoreboard unless your a bit 'special' but a clock would be useful.

They even come off the peg. Exchange rate boards too, maybe that would be more to the squire's interest.

Much as I love baiting the Sir Bojo of Akkeron I feckin hate those scoreboards, a clock is alright and I think it can aid the ref to call it quits on time instead of giving the big teams extra minutes to get the result they deserve.

Looks like a Soviet style block of flats, utterly gash! ffs Pcc, grow a pair and boot this  monstrosity in to touch!
Luckily if as expected Akkeron man, gets permission for this anti Argyle mess, i remain totaly convinced in true Jimmy style nothing will get built.

Brutalism is back in fashion again. They might as well of puts in plans for a few pyramids, maybe a full sized replica of the taj mahal and maybe the hanging gardens of Babylon like you say feck all will get built.

Looks like a complete mess. But this isn't about building anything though, it's about increasing the land value to sell for profit once it's all approved.

Still think of the kudos if it does go ahead - in a couple of years Argyle will be the only non league club with an ice rink.
