I understand that Roy is making 6 changes for tonight? Why we aren't even through and are barely a cohesive unit as it stands. I think dropping Sterling and Kane are inevitable and I've long believed that Wilshere should be starting as he brings something different to the table.

But Why change the full backs, why start the Henderson at all? Having just established Rooney as a midfield player why drop him?

Looking forward to this one i think England will win 3. I. Vardy hatrick....

I think we lack confidence, we should have run at the feckers not try and cross into a box full of the Skertyl (who had a great game tbf) it's how we got the last goal against Wales. Wilshere is shite btw.

Considering the number of goals scored by Kane and Vardy this season, England's inability to hit a cows arse with a banjo in front of goal is quite astonishing.

That was crap really, footballs about scoring and winning yet we could'nt beat dross like Slovakia or Russia, we've no chance of beating a decent side imo.

Have to disagree there. From now on, we won't be facing 8 - 11 defenders all game. There will be a bit more space which should (if Hodgeson picks the best team) benefit us more.

I was about to post pretty much that.

We still don't know anything much about how good we are. All the way through qualifying it was basically Attack v Defence in every game. The 3 group games have been the same.

The next game probably will be, too - if it is somebody we might expect to beat because they'll hang on for grim death and hope to win on penalties.

It's only when we meet an "equal" that we'll see how good, or otherwise, we are.

We keep the ball well, we play at a decent tempo but there's a lack of quality balls into the box.

Slovakia didn't so much park the bus as put up a road block and we just didn't have the ability to break it down.

Dier played well again, Lallana and Vardy looked dangerous. Henderson and Wilshere aren't international standard.

My prediction was last 8, no reason to change that.

I'm told the path forward from here looks like it might be:

Portugal

France

Spain

Germany
