His odds would have been slashed for a reason though. Either info leaked from the club/being seen at the club. Or a raft of bets (or a singular large bet)being taken in him.

The only stumbling block would be salary.

His age and arrogance would be a stumbling block too plus will Brent give him a blank cheque book every transfer window while paying the wages of a large squad.. Do we even want Paddy Kenny here? does he even know anything about this league as the game has move on alot since 1996.

If he got the job i would give him 6 months before he either walks or is fired due to clashes with Brent. They are not two individuals that will get on in the long term.

He may take what Brent has to offer him.

If Warnock is the new manager, i wonder if Alex and O'Connor will resign ?.

I can't see Warnock having the hunger or desire for a full time management job in League 2. Part time mentor/DOF gig yes but I can't see Brent pushing the boat out financially in order for a novice manager to have someone hold his hand. It will either be a course and distance appointment or a gamble on a novice with potential on his own, sink or swim job.

I wonder when Argyle will actually get around to the interviews then ?.

Typical Brent and his laid back attitude to Argyle.

At this rate pre-season will be a tight squeeze.

He is looking for a football manager, not a hotel manager.

Im sure they will have a shortlist by now at the very least.. They have had nearly a week to draw one up

What do you reckon, another two weeks [or less] until the new manager is announced ?.

When do the players report back, is it the end of this month or the first week of July.

As for any new signings, the new gaffer is surely going to be rooting around the bottom of the bin for the left overs.

Paul Wotton.

The funny thing is the fans are expecting four managers on the shortlist with Premier League experience.

Neil Warnock, Nigel Adkins, Ian Holloway and Brian McDermott.

The real shortlist and candidate appointed is bound to be.a disappointment with fans' expectations for a midtable tier 4 club running away like that.

I bet Brent will wish he'd kept Sheridan now the CVs are in and it's a rookie toss up between Wotton or Coughlan.
