Hope you don't want an airport

Oh dear.

Small minded Plymouth strikes again... Is it anywonder no blighter wants to come and invest here.

Long term thinking never did have the appeal of a greased palm.

It beggers belief that a "spokesman" can be in his right mind saying that Plymouth is well served with airports at Exeter & Newquay, tell that to businessmen who aren't too keen on wasting time getting from A to B.

That's nearly as bad as saying that I am well served with an Airport near Brighton from where I live in NW Kent.

SHH are a development company, they already are building on airport land, why would they want an airport on land already marked out with building plots, the land should be compulsory purchased and an owner found who will provide the air links we need.
On the up side once we have spent five hours getting to the capital it will only take another hour to be in Birmingham. It's funny that HS2 will be built with our money but the airport will have to be privately funded.

There was a notion put to PCC to turn that airport into a Helipad one which not only serve as a helicopter base for folk but also run a service similar to the old Penzance to the Isles of Swilly thing but to exeter and i think newquay too 3-4 times a day which would have been more viable.

Of course that got turned down.
