Completely agree.

I suppose its one of the downsides to having a more relaxed MOD team that people will try and get away with things (not haveing a dig there).

Glad that things seem to be calming down though as despite the victory cries from some no one won yesterday.

To be honest I find that sometimes and with a little encouragement people can change. It's often flung back into my face and then there's no second chance.

Dane by his own admission has been a bit of a pain in the ass on pasot and he's been given a chance on here. Let's hope he doesn't screw it up!

No im not going to apologise, Im sure Penzance is a big enough/brave enough/ thick skinned enough to brush it off. Plus my actions may have led to the incident but it wasnt me that abused him.

Also please remember that more people now know about this site, membership has gone up and the site came out of last nights events looking very good, due to the way the people on here handled it all.

So my actions also led to that, so no Apology from me no.

Answer me this The Spooner, why would it be so wrong to question the suitability of The President and his actions on PASOTI? Is he above scrutiny and being questioned on there? If that is the case then does that actually prove that PASOTI is a closed shop and stiffles any debate. I have nothing against PASOTI whatsoever but if it is going to be an open forum for supporters, all of them, to be able to discuss issues then it must allow things to be discussed. Are you telling me that his differences in posts between here and PASOTI on the same subject are acceptable for somebody who is meant to represent us all? My posts on the subject are my observations and interpretations of what has happened in the last 2 days and nothing whatsoever to do with any previous spats or politicing. If people disagree then that is fine by me as long as they don't just post "that's rubbish" without saying why they think so and let it be open to questioning. If you wish to comment on my "should he remain" post on here and don't agree with anything then please feel free to put your opinion on why.

To be honest Peggy, I don't need an apology. I thought his admittance was contrition enough and helped the whole site calm down somewhat.

Some things are unfortunate, we're all a bit different from each other, we just hope people stick to the rules on here, outside of point blank legalities, we're not that strict at all, but I don't think sackcloth and ashes are very useful in lfe, that's what they like across the way, it just harbours resentment.
I don't get this apology thing, I often see an apology as a power issue and almost all of them are empty nonsenses anyway.

I was the one accused by Dane, posing as Ian Newell, of posting links to porn sites, so if I am able to forget it then pretty much everyone else can too. Danes last statement suggests he loves stirring up the shit, so my advice would be for everyone to bear that in mind when he posts. And maybe the mods keep a close eye on any suspicious accounts/posts in future in case it is Dane "having a laugh"

Firstly, I agree with pp - apologies are often far more to do with an attempt to exert power and an apology is often meaningless.

I will just wait for the time when there is a bomb-scare in some large building that causes an evacuation and I'll think that must be that grown-up dane with two kids and an important job with a bit of spare bored time on his hands who was simply doing his bit for the cafes in the area and ensuring that the fire-service etc get the chance to raise their positive profile a bit.

Oh I see. I was merely trying to demonstrate the essential differences between the two forums.
Pasoti is clearly controlled and reflects the views of an unelected group.
ATD is open to all and will not try to steer or stifle debate.

In my opinion, Pasoti and its controllers are representing the fanbase right now and as such should be held to account if they do not offer a fair and level playing field.
That is why we are here and that is why we must continue to be free to express our views.
