An impressive achievement. Apparently there are only three members of staff who still have money outstanding. Their acceleration of payments is a credit to their work.

Mr Brent's hands were tied as the rules stated that he had to pay back ALL staff at the same rate which would have meant paying back the relatively highly paid footballers as well as the poorly paid ordinary staff.

I think I'm right in saying that this money raised by the GTs is a loan to the club.

The fans.

In a way you're right. But from the off Mr Brent said he wasn't a sugar-daddy. As much as you and I dislike rich people using poor people to make their money that's what we have to deal with.

But it shouldn't detract from the GT's achievement. They could have stood back, wrung their hands and said how terrible it was that the unpaid staff should be left to the long drawn out process that was facing them in order to get their money. Or they could have done something about it..... and they did the latter.

Well done to the GT, naive but with the right intentions in mind im sure.
Such a pity about some of the shady characters which lurk in their peripherals inside the pyramid suite and the nefarious activities which happen on their buses such as the personal details of ATD members being exchanged.
