With a team containing Larrieu,Sutherland,Bignot,Feeney,Bhasera and Walton we should be beating the likes of Torquay. Fletcher has had his time to see what he can do, under him we are going down, simple as. Fletcher back in the team as a player,drop calamity Nelson and and a new experienced manager appointed ASAP.

The whole set up is shit. The manager is just another shit link in a chain of shit. Easily by far the worst 'team' ever to have embarrased themselves in the football league.

Its all done on the cheap. Brent hasn't got to break the bank, but we do need some investment to stay in this league.

Not for the first time, Jonah is not the answer, he really isn't, he is there purely on seniority and biggest mouth over the last two years. Appointing Carl was a mistake and it needs to be put right NOW!!!

To me its another Mariner appointment a player held in high regard by the fans stiched up by the powers that be by being made manager when they have no coaching badges no experienced and in Fletcher's case never even taken a training session. If Risdale or Brent or both was so hell bent on taking the cheap option and appointing him then they should have ensured the following.
1)an experienced assistant manager who can help guide and advise him help him out greatly.
2)a coaching staff that are actually qualified to my knowledge only a former dairy farmer who played non league football is the only one with a badge. We need another guy in with coaching experience.

or failing the above appointed a manager and had Carl as an assistant and have him learn the ropes that way much like with Walter Smith and Ally McCoist.

Carl is only 31 still have 3-4 years left in his playing career and thats where he should be playing not managing atm. some say its too early and others say give him till christmas. i fear the longer we leave it the harder the job its going to be to over turn 5 point gap and stay up.

I remember Toddy's first response to calls for Sturrock's head .... we are patient businessmen, Paul's our man. Ridsdale's problem is that he's invested some of Brent's belief in him with the Fletcher appointment. He has to stick with him

In fact, they all, including the superfans, have tied themselves up in a parcel ... they've all invested everything in this mythical unity between fans, owners, players and staff ... none of the can now bad mouth or replace any of the others ... it's a no win scenario.... literally. And when Fletcher is replaced, which he will be, it will be way way too late.

Aren't the superfans text buddies with the dimwitted Player Manager- they're not going to call for his head.

I imagine they will turn on Fletcher first to take any pressure away from Brent. But the whole pack of cards is about to come tumbling down.

But seriously though, how often do appointments like Fletcher work at any club? Experienced managers get clubs out of relegation dog fights - not young player managers. We would be laughing at any other club who made this type of appointment.
