Dane, if United don't want Rooney because he's lost his sparkle I think they would love to sell him to citeh for £50 or so and piss themselves when he's just another ordinary squad player on £200k a week.

Remember United would get his wages off their bill and could buy anyone they wanted to replace him. Ronaldo would go back at some stage.

I think Chelsea would be stupid enough to buy him. Imagine the raping going on after training with Rooney, Terry and Ashley Cole all out together?

Somethings not right with him at United at the moment and being left on the bench will have made him seethe and he's probably lucky that Fergie is still crying about losing because even he wouldn't be stupid enough to storm into Fergusons office demanding a transfer. He'd get more than a boot in the face.

I think it's as simple as fergie letting him know that he isn't the main man anymore. Fergie likes to keep his players grounded.

ref got fergie out of jail for not starting with rooney, indeed cleverly got a knock about 30mins before rooney replaced him.

If Rooney moved on he would probably go back to Everton.....but they couldn't afford him.

Red card or not, the ref gave it and United collapsed. says more about United against Madrid than the ref.

Feck me it wasn't even the quarter finals and Madrid are third in La Liga, with a 2nd choice keeper, no Cassilas, no Benzema and no Marcelo playing.
