Former Everton defender Brendan Galloway on trial at Plymouth Argyle

The 25-year-old was released by Luton Town this summer after an injury-hit two seasons with the Hatters

Ryan Lowe has confirmed that former Everton and England under-21 international defender Brendan Galloway will be spending pre-season on trial to Plymouth Argyle.

The 25-year-old is a free agent after being released by Luton Town earlier this summer following two injury-affected seasons with the Hatters.

Galloway, who can line up at left-back or in central defence, will get plenty of game time during pre-season with Argyle, starting away to Plymouth Parkway on July 3.

Do we need another defender after signing 4 and wouldn't another defender hamper Tomlinson's development and game time. I imagine Purrcell will be loaned out this season so that would take our numbers down to 5 defenders in the first team squad..

We shall see i guess.

Brendan Galloway was born in Harare, Zimbabwe on 17 March 1996, and moved to England with his family when he was six years old.

At lease we will not need young inexperienced loanees this season
