Long winded but interesting read from end coronavirus.org. They also list the 30 odd countries that have beaten Covid and if you believe what they say then we won't get on top of the disease unless we dig deeper for longer and actually eradicate the outbreak totally. Instead of having endless lockdowns and easing restrictions when the outbreak is nearly betean we should carry on until we have total control which would take a few weeks more. Sounds like a nightmare now but if we'd done it in June it would all be a memory now.

Anyone else get the feeling that the UK seems like a lab rat with the first vaccines being administered next week, the whole world will be watching like a hawk to see what happens and how it all pans out.

Biden will have a job on his hands trying to reverse that ?. Still way too many who think the virus is a hoax and not real in that country, and on top of that, way too many saying they will not have the vaccine.

The virus was never a hoax, most likely man made and weaponised, it seems that it hadn't originated in china.
The rest of it is all a matter of control now.

Wales considers new Covid lockdown amid rapid rise in infections.

Another lockdown may be needed in Wales to stop the NHS being overwhelmed as the number of Covid-19 patients in hospital soared to a record high.

Describing the situation as “incredibly serious”, the Welsh health minister, Vaughan Gething, accepted more restrictions might be needed, possibly even before Christmas.

The figures come just a month after the end of a 17-day “firebreak” lockdown, which was believed at the time to have been successful and was expected to give the country a clear run up to the new year.

But the Welsh government has since conceded that it might have been better to bring in other curbs when the firebreak was lifted.
