Of those "been here too long" that are being released, I would assume T Moore is certain, Taylor is probable; will Sawyer's age work against him?

He also mentioned that he thinks Jephcott will have a decent career, and talked about Mike Cooper and Randall as well.

He said Byron Moore has been his best signing, also said Danny Mayor had done well, but not scored enough goals.

Don't really understand your thinking re releasing players.

There will probably be hundreds of players released by their clubs (Scunthorpe have already told 11 players they can go) Even top PL clubs will have to reduce costs and will be releasing younger players they might previously have kept on in the hope that they develop

The Clubs that can/are willing to offer better wages will be able to take their pick. Hopefully that will favour clubs like Argyle who have more gate revenue than most teams in L1 & L2

This is where teams in stronger financial positions - hopefully us, will make ruthless acquisitions. Survival of the fittest etc etc

We were on the wrong side of it when we had the Admin Fire Sale and lost all our assets. Hopefully we can benefit this time, however unpalatable that may be. We should be able to drop the deadwood and replace it with a higher calibrate bunch.

He also said that he could offer new contracts but wouldn't know if financial terms would be discussed as budgets can't be set yet and I think then mentioned (as TGWU posted) that we would lose 1.5m through the loss of the 4 remaining home games. He said he thinks a decision will be made by the EFL in the next 3 - 10 days.

if everyones budgets are going to be hit as a result of corona which they will it will be a case of how bad club to club then it does have an impact on transfers and contracts for the following season as clubs try to make up for lost ground....

Avis Crook is dead and he'd have to work hard to beat her. Anybody remember the Sunday Independant letters page, every week there would be one from her saying something, Some thing are really lovely, Avis Crook, Plymouth.

i wouldn't disagree with those named mention. sawyer i can see retiring from playing and doing his coaching badges, he might take a year's holiday with a club like Torquay playing and coaching but theres no way he would last another year with us he got himself sent off twice getting caught short of pace .taylor is a huge drain on resources and a liability. i think t more has gone already mind. i still want to see static caravan gone

i can go by football manager if you like lol but alot of the deal have 1 year auto renew if triggered. I hate those deals with a passion as we always get shafted in the summer.

1400 players out of contract in July according to EFL

Pasoti think that we will have 5 players in contract in July.

Michael Cooper, Joel Grant, Luke Jephcott, Adam Randall and Klaidi Lolos. I think are the 5. That’s judging by Football Manager, which is fairly accurate.

All of the new signings last summer had a one year extension clause in their deals which can be triggered by the club.

All of the players signed before our relegation season are out of contract this summer.

According the WMN he based that on a full house for all the remaining games!

As season tickets were already paid up, the real figure is probably half that.
