Banned from football for 8 years, plus 50k and 80k Swiss franks fine respectively.

Should of been longer but at least it's the end for that stumpy fat shyster, Blatter, and hopefully Platini's credibility is shot to pieces as far as further involvement in FIFA is concerned.

Just watched Blatta's live press conference in Geneva, as one commentator put in he looked and sounded like a sad deluded old man not comprehending the situation he is in, that view was reaffirmed by Blatter expressing sorrow for himself and world football. He did not come close to any form of personal apology for his actions, he is clearly the Mugabe of world football.
There is an informed consesus worldwide that FIFA cannot be reformed root and branch in the existing format,the only way forward is for the European countries to press ahead and forge a new footballing alliance if ultimately that means a rival to the next planned world cup so be it.
They should have both been banned for life, however significantly Blatter and Plattini are not eligible to stand again for President after the ban.
FIFA get rid!
Can I suggest WCFA as a new acronym e.g World Confederation of Football Associations.
