I suspect Oxford will be promoted as champions not argyle. They seem more organised with an investing owner

We will not be promoted at all. Paper thin squad about to be dessimated in January. Only last minute loan players brought in to replace Reid and Carey. Pompey, Oxford and Accy will be top 3

The DA & Brent relationship should get pretty interesting now. Will DA hold his tongue? Stick to his tradition and say what the feck he wants to say? Will Jimmy boy react? open his wallet? play it down and pat DA on the back and congratulate him on the sterling effort he's doing without a fooking bean in the player pot, whilst secretly asking piggy to organise DA a visit from 'da boyz'

Oh well. Any sign of a fun cup run gone. So we may go up...even if we do what fun will that actually be? Promotion from this dog shit division is more a test of tenacity rather than a well run club. feck me, even Rochdale made it eventually!

A bit worrying to hear about McCormick limping about right from the start. Maybe Adams will give Brent another blast.

Conceding 5 at home against a L1 team is a bit of a reality check as to just where Argyle stand in the greater scheme of things

Normally I treat Freathy's posts with the mild amusement they deserve, but on his second sentence here, he's bang on. With Boateng missing the midfield lacked bite and control. Without Reid there was no menace up front. The squad currently numbers about 15 players that Adams has faith in, with the rest only being used in extreme cases. Unless Adams is given resources in January to not just strengthen the squad, but also to keep those players who've impressed so far, then we may struggle to stay in contention.
