I missed the game last night but heard a fair bit of the radio commentary. If anybody gets a chance to hear this again give it a go. It was classic stuff with the commentators right in amongst the fans and pretty much everything said came through loud and clear. Sonny Jim commentating spent more time apologising for the crowd comments than he did commentating on the match!

Tbf Guppy and Izzet were well under rated imho, Savage was never in their class, again, imho, but I have to say I was strolling around the marina in Peurto Banus with a Brummy mate of mine when he spotted the aforementioned hanging about, what a nice chap when he isn't trying too hard to be clever.

Grimeshinho is serious class, if Manure hadn't stolen the boy Gosling from us the two of them together would have been unstoppable at this level, he will probably go in Jan which would be the right thing, he could easily play at Championship level, might even go to a Prem club then get loaned down. Last night was not close to the quality you would see on a decent pitch when the front players were making good runs, the instant picking of the right pass and top bunny execution sets him way apart from the rest of the dross.

Not comparing him to say Scholes or Gigsy but he would have walked into any Argyle 11 during his playing days.

Izzet was excellent, Savage had his qualities and played at near enough the top level, being important for Brum, Blackburn in particular. He is however a proper dimwit when it comes to talking.
