Video with El Presidente chatting to the Beeb, includes the above quote and some chat about Riddler staying on in January to help with potential transfers (or at least that's the inference).

Chris Webb interviewed

A budget, eh? A little bit of a nebulous term in itself, but good news nonetheless if Purse is the kind of player we're aiming for.

Maximum points between now and January (improbable but not impossible) and eyes will be on a playoff place!

Was working out the other day what we would need to get a playoff place of 72 points approximately and basically it would need us hitting 100 points for the season form, so I kissed that idea goodbye.

We're in one of those positions where the Watney Cup was always handy.

A budget could be seen as a budget for wages, Doesn't mean transfer fee's are going to be spent

Probably be more loan signings-how many are we entitled to between now and the end of the season,i've lost track. There would also be the possibility of trading in Bhasera to raise a bit of revenue for the budget.

I did look at the rules regarding loan signings a while back and I believe it was 8 over the course of the season (4 x under 23 and 4 x over 23), but the rules don't seem to matter because you can just declare them emergency loans anyway, and I think those are unlimited. Purse is on an emergency loan...

Encouraging news, even though it has been trailed for some time. The only bit I have a concern about is the word Fletcher.
He hasn't exactly shown he's a born manager.
If he saves us from relegation from L2 with the extra, say, 350K expenditure for the season, does it mean we then get him as numero uno for 2 years ? and Romain as numero deux ?
Please no. Given the right mix of personnel, this club should sail out of this league, not hang about for years like we did last time.

Anybody know if the Purse loan is wiped off the slate if he signs in January, allowing us another loan signing ?

i cant see james brent being advised by others to make that appointment Pete imo. we are better off finding middle ground and ask for an experienced right hand man.

I expect that Purse is now running the side in any case.
