| Staggering indeed.
Though the level of 'unknown'? debt the PAFC is carrying is still a bigger concern.
I hope Brent's 'new diversified revenue streams' are more successful for the football club |

Which is why we can guarantee that Mastpoint, Kagami, Ticketus etc are still outstanding and will be queuing up for regular repayments for years to come after the players have been paid off. I really don't think fans understand how much Argyle's debt will affect the club's performance over the next 10 years. It's bound to, despite the denials coming from those who supported the onerous deals Brent struck with creditors at the time of administration. |

| And just for some food for thought, that figure for Bolton must be viewed in comparison to its turnover. If we have debt of £7m as Ive been told we have then it might be that we have a worse debt to income ratio than a lot of clubs. Don't forget we went bust with £17m of debt whilst receiving CCC income. |

| Over £150M is owed to owner Eddie Davies and there is a 10 year payment buffer if he recalls loan, which is highly unlikely until he dies and loans pass on to his estate.
They are going to have to do something about wages for FFP as they over 100% of income. |

| I saw Bolton play on boxing day against Barnsley - they won't trouble the top end of the Championship with that team. They were dire - Barnsley though were worse. Over £150m is mental money. It doesn't help when allegedly Allardyce was only signing players who shared his agent on £70k+ a week contracts. Hmmmm. Will they be the first big club to go? |

| Meh. They'll sort something out and still be in a higher league position than us in 5 years time. |

| The way to be wealthy in 21st century planetoid life is make sure you owe the money to the right people, who owe money to other people. Be too debt ridden to fail. Outrageous Leverage is good for the corporations and wealth barons, but not for Joe Public. Nearly every local government council is well in credit with their balance sheets, yet they are being forced to sell off their capital assets at a knock down price. It's the 1600s all over again. Can't wait for the witch burning to start. |

| They are indebted to a real fan of the club who is happy to write off the £170m owed to him. So in real terms they aren't in any immediate danger. The fella just wants out. |

| No wonder Phil Gartside campaigned to seal the Premier League off and stop relegations while Bolton were in the Prem. What a colossal amount of money to write off over a game of football. |

| From what I've seen of him, anything more than a free transfer and he'd be firmly in the overpriced bracket. |

| Not too sure what has been going on up there but it seems as if their woes continue. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - Quote :
- Bolton Wanderers could be put into administration on Tuesday morning, according to club owner Ken Anderson.
Anderson said he offered to repay creditors BluMarble Capital Ltd a £4m loan plus interest but that the offer had been rejected.
The club could be deducted 12 points for going into administration. They are currently eighth in the Championship with 11 points after six games.
"I feel sure that they will live to regret their actions," Anderson said.
Bolton took out a loan with BluMarble in 2015 and according to the Bolton News there is a funding gap for the next 12 months of up to £13m.
Anderson added: "[BluMarble] will now need to fund the club administration going forward, which will take a minimum of three months and will automatically put the club in a two-year transfer embargo and a minimum immediate points deduction of 12 points.
"In my opinion, their actions will substantially reduce the value of the club in respect of any future sale and will make it far more difficult to find a future investor/buyer."

| Bolton are the only team in the football league, other than Villa and FGR who we have never played, that I can't remember us playing against |

| Back along we had a crazy run of results that included a totally bonkers 6-4 home win against Preston.
We played Bolton in that run and lost 5-1, I think. I don't recall us playing them since.
We also played them when Allardyce was a player for them and Mariner was up front for us.
Our paths haven't crossed that often, that's for sure.

| Quick look at Greens On Screen reveals it was 7-2 not 5-1 (1984).
Since when we have played them in 85/86 and 92/93. |
