Well actually I got back about 20 minutes ago  

A good match for the neutral and both teams played some good football at times but also some sloppy play, loose passes and silly long balls straight to the opposition.

Nice to see some goals, all taken well and a nice debut goal for Bencherif. Both Bencherif and Reckford played well.

A draw would've been a fair result if it'd been the league game although in the final 5 minutes Cheltenham could easily have nicked it to make it 4-3. We sat back too deep when we were 3-1 up and allowed them back into it.

A rather quiet crowd from both sides although it's hard to generate an atmosphere when one stand is completely closed and the other two sides were hardly full. A crap decision by the ref to allow Cheltenham to choose to take the penalties into the empty stand when all of the crowd was closer to the other half of the pitch but them are the rules.

I had a running commentary for the whole match from some gobshite who decided he'd be Sheridan for the night! At one point when he disappeared for a pee I even pleaded with the old bill to lock him in the loo.

One final entertaining comment I heard, a little lad asked his dad if he could see James Brent in the director's box, his dad replied he couldn't see to which a guy behind muttered "no but that fat cnut Newell is probably there somewhere kissing arse"

To stop our slide we need progress, not getting knocked out in the first round of the tin pot is progress, I'll keep my jesters hat in mothballs for the minute but let's hope we have turned a corner.
