Michael Chopra and 2 other pros have been banned from horse-racing for 10 years for corruption. Always staggers me , the sheer greed of some of these highly paid sports professionals.

We all imagine what millionaire status would do for us. We imagine we'd be set up for life, great, then what?

I somehow doubt somebody earning more in a week than some of us earn in a year is being greedy when he takes a gamble. More money than sense certainly.

But it is greed isn't it? Criminal greed. He wasn't just having a flutter or gambling senselessly - he was involved with others in fixing races, at the expense of joe public, for tens of thousands of pounds. Really it wasn't gambling - it was theft.
