| i dont know what to say about this result to be honest. we won yet we didnt play our best blackburn played some great football at times to be fair and opened us up a few times thankfully their strikers had an off day. Our first goal came against the run of play and took a deflection in no harm in that im sure Azaz isnt going to care nor do we. Hardie looked vrey lively up front and got his deserved goal and what the hell where blackburn thinking for the 3rd where the keeper got lobbed lol. The spanish defender did very well he probably kept us in it at times. Kaine was very good today i thought i would have given him man of the match myself not sure who got that atm only just got home. Blackburn have some very good players there number 8 is the sort of midfielder i would like to see here one day always running and linking plays. The ball winning midfielder 27 i think i'll have to check is another of that kind of midfielder we could do with one much like David Fox did for us a few seasons ago win the ball start an attack. We had a few moments where we couldnt string a pass together and took a while to get into the game but once that goal went in we found our feet and took it from there. overall much needed win to stop a losing streak and a cleansheet is worth an extra point to us come end of the season when we may rely on goal difference so thats an added bonus. great day today now for a 2 week break |

| Went today - sat in a sweltering block 14. Well that wasn't easy and we defended excellently but Blackburn are seriously shiiiiite in front of goal. Just looked on the Blackburn forum and loads of comments about how shite Argo are and how they didn't deserve to lose. We took our chances and Blackburn didn't - therefore we deserved to win and they didn't. |

| First 15 minutes looked as if Blackburn were going to piss the match, some nice one touch football and pace which took them clear of the backline regularly. Their forwards couldn't hit a cows arse with a double bass let alone a banjo though and to their credit Argyle became much better organised at the back with the offside trap coming in very handy. Storm was weathered and Argyle came into the game more and more-must have been very entertaining for a neutral, end to end stuff. Hardie had a few efforts, Mumba had a good header saved at the far post before Finn opened the scoring with a deflected shot-bit lucky but Argyle have had a couple of efforts hit the woodwork at 1-1 in previous matches so feck it. Plenty of pressure from Blackburn second half but Argyle were never out of it and defended very well at times, some good blocks and tackles to keep 'em at bay. Big kudos to Schuey for the subs which wrapped up the match-shot from Wright saved by the keeper and sniffer Hardie converted the rebound [good to see him getting some poachers goals, something perhaps missing a bit in the past] and Cundle put the seal on it with an exquisite lob after the Blackburn defence ballsed up a high ball.
No doubt there'll be stuff on the Blackburn forums about "how did we lose that" and manking about the ref [dodgy for both sides imho] but take your chances and win your matches. Going into the break, safe to say that Argyle have settled very nicely into the championship and certainly don't look out of place- long may that continue.Long season of course but so far so good, well done to the players and staff. |

| Pretty much with Greenskin on this one. Things looked dodgy at the start but the more it went on you had the feeling that they were never going to score - we took our chances when they came.
Interesting choice at the back today, Pleggy in for Scarr, possibly to counter Blackburn's pace up front? Whatever reason he had a cracking game, as did Gibson (again), and KKH.
We've probably played better in the last 2 games and lost. Funny old game. |

| Argyle are still finding their feet as it were, nice win against Blackburn and thoroughly due too.
The Championship is a very tough division, to be in the league position they are shows Argyle are going about the challenge in fine fashion.
Early days yet, plenty more big guns to play in the coming weeks and months. |
