Made hard work of that!  Lacked composure in front of goal today - too many good chances skied, wide or straight down the keepers throat.  Perhaps a bit of panic creeping in after the past 4 results.  After Whittaker's penalty miss I really feared the worst.  A massive relief when Ennis eventually converted and then Cosgrove doubled the score.  We should have been in total control against a very poor Morecambe side but they were able to enjoy long periods of possession especially in the first half. I wasn't at all surprised when a defensive lapse gave them a consolation late on.  Still 3 points.

not the best first half ive ever seen but we managed to break morecambe down who didnt do too badly it has to be said their goalie kept them init along with our poor shooting at times. Whittakers pen miss was clearly to see he was going to miss as he telegraphed whee he was putting it so the goalie knew where to go. I was even during the silence the home fans where causing in the first half singing my own aviva song about danny mayor as i had my radio on and joy divison's love will tear us apart came on "mayor tearing defenders apart again" please dont make me that bored again argyle lol

We plied the pressure in the second and managed to finally get that goal which as history teaches us that del bhey wasnt banking on chasing the game after that so we managed to secure it with the second goal by Cosgrove. Wasnt worried when morecambe got their goal via an ex argyle player as del bhey still cant develop a plan b to save his job by the looks of it.

good important win and results went our way aswell so we are back top of the league at christmas cant complain about that

Important thing today was to get the win. Especially with results elsewhere going our way. However the form in terms of performances is very concerning. Argyle seem soft touches at times and often come off second best in 50/50’s , the ball retention at times is woeful and we give soft goals away. I fear for us in the new year with some tough away games at the leagues big hitters.
