Looks like you'll be in the basement. We could well be in the wilderness. Look how far we've come !

I've got to say, I see this as a good move by Argyle-Chadwick, an injury prone has-been is being replaced by, Fletcher an injury....work it out for yourselves.

Nothampton, in relegation trouble, sign Clark Carlisle, a player with loads of Championship and Premier League experience, a man whose presence and character mean other players look up to him.

Argyle, in relegation trouble, sign Fletcher, a player with loads (and loads and loads) of experience, a player, whose height means other players look up to him (when he's not sitting on the bench).

Did we also try to get Jim Furnell in as goalkeeper cover? Well, he hasn't let in a goal for ages has he?

Big Fletch is ready for action after shaking off a slight knock.

From his comments it sounds as though he would be used as a tactical sub to come off the bench.

Can't see what is so terrible about this to be honest. Hand up those who actually expected us to sign anyone at all. I didn't. If he can do the same job that Mickey Evans did for us being the same big lump and aging then I don't think anyone would complain. Evans was hardly a prolific scorer either. What he brought was experience, ability to hold the ball up and lay it off which we have lacked. As said if he can do that then what's the problem.

We'll soon find out .He may well save our season . No defenders like playing against him thats for certain . He can do a job at this low level I'm sure .

IF and it is a big if, he can do that then I will be the first in the applause queue. However, like Chadders he will be our new tampon, one on three off.

He's just too old and past it.
